Lest we think Republicans are the only ones who are scandalous.

Why won't Democrats let this information become public? What do they have to hide? Inquiring minds want to know.
Aubie In Bham
I don't think Robert Novak is the bastion of integrity, do you? If he's willing to spill all of the democrats secrets, then why will he not spill his own?

Novak might as well retire because I can't believe a word he writes.
MIB
You lefties never cease to amaze me. Just because Novak relays what is a matter of public fact, you guys automatically discard it as untrue. Unbelievable. rolleyes.gif

The author is irrelevant here. The investigation and cover up are not.

I remember this case when it first started a decade ago. I was eager then to learn about this IRS crap; I'm just as eager now, regardless of who is involved.
Aubie In Bham
MIB, I'm not a lefty, I'm a moderate sitting right on the fence. However, I do find it "convenient" for you to label anyone that disagrees as a lefty, as it that were bad. If being a "righty" is good, I'd rather be bad.

Novak IS the news these days and his attempt to dredge up a story against the Clintons is just propaganda against Hillary and, as usual, he is a pawn of the Republican party.

It's my understanding that journalists should be independent; not mouth pieces of the DNC or RNC. Robert Novak isn't a journalist. He's a promoter.

Let's pay attention to the current day situation in which he is the center figure, for the time being, and get it straightened out before trying to get the public into another direction.
MIB
His current situation is irrelevant, just as he is. The case he reported is fact. the Special Prosecutor is fact. The law passed to conceal the information is fact. The Members of Congress who were responsible for this are facts. The IRS' involvement in this is fact, as is the involvement of Clinton Administration officials.

To what extent may never be known, however, if everything remains sealed or confidential.

Wow, this is the best Novak could do at digging up dirt on the Dems? He must not be digging much these days. This column reminds me of an old saying...he who lives in glass houses shouldn't cast stones. The fodder Republicans offer these days is far richer than anything the Democrats could offer. MIB, if Novak is so irrelevant, why do you continue to post his columns here? Furthermore, if you love and admire him soooo much, why don't you marry him?

I think I'm going to puke. tongue.gif

Puke? Is that puke of joy? And here I was ready to race out and buy you a gift! Oh well, I guess my chances of being your bridesmaid are slim to nil. Just let me know where you decide to register.
MIB
I'll tell you what--if you're hot, you can be my groom. biggrin.gif

(How's that for materialistic selfishness?)

Pretty dang selfish. You know you should get your kids' approval before marrying someone.

Robert Novak is a right wing commentator, who regularly spouts the official white house line in his columns.

Do you really expect anyone to beleive that the White House, or Congress, or the Senate, ALL in Republican control, would not crawl over broken glass to release this report?

Do you expect anyone to beleive that the Democrats are so powerful that a minority of Dems can intimidate and coerce a majority of Republicans to suppress anything?

If this report were as injurious to the Democrats, and the Clintons in particular, you wold have seen a report issued by Karl Rove months, if not years ago.

Safe to say, I think it's a crock.

Considering one Senator alone can bring the Senate to a halt, that one Senator alone can stop dead in its tracks a nomination, it is clear that a minority can get their way. Republicans have done it, Democrats have done it. It's the way life around the Potomac works, despite the denials of some.
