I used to be a member of Queer Nation, "The Nation Without Borders". At one of the meetings, one of the older members got up and just ripped all the younger guys there for not appreciating all the work that the older activists had done to make the young guys' lives easier as out gay men. I, for one, am aware that the people that came before me did a hell of lot of work in much tougher circumstances than I experienced. I think of those days (the early 90's) and I remember thinking "Maybe in 20 years all this stuff we're pissed off about will be history". It's a slow process but it can't be stopped.
I hope there's a follow up on the two love birds in that article I linked to.
