I am surprised there doesn't seem to be too many, if any at all, fans on Outsports into arena football, from what I have noted over the course of the last several months. Spokane sure has embraced our new team, the Shock. Sitting at 11-2 and tops in our division at present. Also number 1 in the Coaches poll for the 2nd time, and we continue to lead the af2 in attendance with an average of above 9,500 fans per game. Our Coach, Chris Siegfried, a totall hottie by the way currently is the 3rd most winningest Coach and moving on up in the af2. It appears the playoffs will run through Spokane in our first inagural season as well. GO SHOCK!!!!

Damn, what a crazy thrilling, totally enjoying 69-68 win last night for Spokane over cross state rival Everett Saturday night. The lead changed hands about 9 times, but Spokane refused Everetts' attempt to take the first victory in 3 tries against the Shock in front of yet another sellout crowd...with the win, Spokane is now 13-2, and has already drawn a first round bye in the playoffs. In addition Shock Coach Chris Siegfreid is the winningest Coach ever in the history of the af2, with 52 wins. Sweet. Congratulations Chris and Go Shock!!

I was a six year season ticket holder for the San Jose Sabercats when I lived in the bay area and had a blast at the games. Even flew to some road games. Now I'm in New York and going to Long Island for games is a pain. I still try to watch on TV but I've lost some of my enthusiasm because I don't have a convenient home team anymore or know anyone in the area into it.

Spokane beat Rio Grand Valley in Hidalgo, Tx. last night to end their first season with a 14-2 record...Since we finished in 1st, now draw a first week bye in the playoffs. On Aug. 12 the Shock will face the lowest seeded survivor of the first round. Way to go Shock!

Tonight yours truly is off to the arena to watch my Shock thrash the Bakersfield Blitz in our first playoff game ever in arena football in Spokane. Bakersfield was one of only 2 teams to have beaten us this season, and they were the only team to have won in Spokane in regular season, so revenge is on the plate I would say. GO SHOCK.!! One more win after this one, and off to Puerto Rico we would go for Arena Cup 2.

Tonight at the again sold out Spokane Arena my Shock take on the Arkansas Twisters, for their second tangle of the year. The winner will go to Puerto Rico for the ArenaCup2 game to be played on Aug. 26th. The Shock beat Arkansas earlier this season in what was called a dominant performace, but I expect a much tougher opponent tonight. In addition Shock Coach Siegfried was named Coach of the year in the af2, and he is also the winningest Coach as well. If not for a conflict with my Spokane Chiefs hockey clubs' training camp going on about the same time, it appeared that the arenacup2 would have been played here.....but the Chiefs Owner said "no."
What a magical year it has been! The Shock are 15-2 going into tonights game, and have been drawing records crowds here.....on to victory tonight. GO SHOCK!!!!!!
