Read about this today. How truly sad. They guy was so young. I am still so surprised to hear about these types of accidents, and still, the drivers refuse to wear helmets!

Favre certainly is having his share of bad luck, a concussion last week then his brother-inlaw dying. I would not count a big performance from him like last year. He needs to sit down until it is safe to play again. His coach should protect him from further injury.

Geez OSU, what is your hard on about them mentioning his father's passing last year? It was huge the way he came out and played so well on MNF that week. And since he's suffered another family tragedy leading up to another MNF game, mentioning last year seems pretty logical. Sure the media went a overboard, but the fact that he even played that game last year gave me, and many, many others, goosebumps.

Because the way the article is written, it can be taken as "Great another death, let's see if he can break another record !"

That's not the way the article is written. You're thinking of it that way, but perhaps a lot of people are thinking the same thing. The article simply states facts: his brother-in-law was killed, last year his father died just before a game, and in that game he performed brilliantly.

Now the latest trauma for Favre: Sadly his wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Reports say she will recover after five months of chemotherapy.
I've done the chemo thing and it's not fun, to say the least. All the best thoughts and wishes to Deanna Favre.
