We did this a while ago, but I think I'm even further along on the Libertarian scale these days:
Economic Left/Right: -5.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.03
The chart says I'm near Mandela and the Dalai Lama. Sounds fine by me.

Like fantomas, I recall doing this before, but don't recall my scores from that time. Anyway, today's scores:
Economics: -5.25
Social Libertarian/Authority: -6.97
Fairly akin to Gandhi, but I refuse to use a loom!

I have no idea what all this means(ok I do, but I think there should be a no opinion option for these questions)

In the vicinity of the Dalai Lama. Does that mean I will be forced to live in exile and go on book signing tours?

The Libertarian Left: Somewhere right around Ghandi, The Dalai Lama, and Nelson Mandela.
Well - good company anyway. Interesting as I had always considered myself on the libertarian RIGHT.
VERY subjective test however. Ex:
"Mothers may have careers, but their first duty is to be homemakers."
To which I replied: Strongly Agree
However, If 'FATHERS' had been substituted for 'Mothers'; I would have also 'Strongly Agreed' as I believe that once you have kids everything else goes out the door and they become your prime responsibility above and beyond anything else.

I believe that either makes me a "knee-jerk moderate" or simply a guy who obviously doesn't understand the world and would be better off staying away from the voting box every November.
Another oddball question:
"A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system."
Well, yeah, I agree that that's an advantage. I also agree that Mussolini got the trains to run on time. That doesn't mean I'm in favor of it.
