Kurt Warner was named the NFL MVP today. Marshall Faulk was second, and Brett Favre placed third.

Too bad because I think without Brett, the Pack don't even make the playoffs. We already know the Rams can win without Faulk and Warner led the NFC in interceptions.

Well done! Congratulations, Kurt!

Go Rams!

Anybody know why Kurt's wife delivered his acceptance speech at the press conference today? Frog in his throat? And why was his wife wearing a coonskin on her head? Anybody?

Kurt is under doctor's orders to not speak all week because of an injury to his throat. As for the coonskin cap, I think she is starring in "The Davy Crockett Story".

Seph: It wasn't a true coonskin cap--it was made frrom Kurt's back hair.

I would have voted for Brady after all he had to overcome in NE--coach passing away, stepping in for Bledsoe, Glenn's insanity. Brady truly was the MVP to his team and thus to the game itself.

My vote goes to Urlacher from Chicago because the intensity and excitement he brought to the team is the most valuable thing in Chicago's wonderful unexpected season.

How the heck did Brady not even finish in the Top 5? In my mind, he could have won without raising too many eyebrows.

Actually, from HERS

Amazing that Brady got NOT A SINGLE VOTE! That really bites.

How then did the Pats, who no one expected to make the play-offs behind billion-dollar Bledsoe, finish #2 in the AC this year?

I s'pose they're saving up their votes for Coach of the Year Bill Belichick.

I'm glad the MVP award went to one of the Rams, though Faulk had a slightly more impressive year than Warner.

Favre deserved to be the number 3. Brady would be sixth on my list, after Pittsburgh's Stewart and Chicago's Miller. Both teams really turned their seasons around, as did the Pats, but Chicago and Pittsburgh finished with better records than New England.

The Rams finished at 14-2, mainly because of Faulk and Warner--and remember, they beat New England, the Jets, San Francisco twice, Philadelphia, and Miami to finish atop the NFC.

GO RAMS!

Just goes to show - the Rams get all the pub, and the Rams get all the votes. What bullshit.

The League really needs to define the MVP Award better. I like the idea of "Player of the Year". How can the League have an MVP? Again, bullshit.

Great analysis Fantomas!! I am very happy that Warner got the award ( and he can leave in on my nightstand).

I know I can always come to these discussion boards and find some logical explanations (except for the BCS of course).
Thanks Fantomas.
