Breaking my vow not to post in P&R -- however, just an fyi -- National Journal -- a terrific nonpartisan source of political and legislation information -- is opening its website and online publications to the public during the two major party conventions.

The best publication of all is The Hotline -- it's The Bible inside -the-beltway -- comes out everyday around noon with great coverage of the Presidential, Senate and key house races -- their staff reads every major U.S. newspaper from Portland ME to Portland OR and points in between. It'll keep you up-to-date on the latest polls. It ends with highlights from Leno, Letterman etc. -- which I admit I pilfer from for sports jokes which I post from time to time.

You do have to register with them -- but if you're a political junkie, you may find it worth it.
