that's all I see at the RNC....Has anyone spotted a minority face in the crowd?
And they say the Democrats are angry?! Look at their faces! They look VERY angry, and bigoted too!
Cheney reminds me of the old man (Homers boss) on the Simpsons.....he fatter of course, but same sour face.

Oh, I'm sure there are people of color there. Just not nearly as many as at the Democratic National Convention.

I think I read somewhere where there are 260 African American delegates there. Don't know how many gays though. Is that hedonist Mary Cheney there?

Q: What is a dems wet dream at the convention?
A: a 1/2 black 1/2 mexican lipstick lesbian.
That counts as 3 towards the quota!

Oh I'm sorry, that was meant to be sarcastic not to encourage more. I should kick myself.

On they're night dedicated to People of Compassion, a
speaker from the podium talked about the battles at home our nation faces and the great strides her party has taken "against drugs" and "against poverty." And railed against those who would dismiss her generation as "Generation X." She apparently didn't know about the battles her compatriots have waged against civil liberties, homosexuals, gynecologists, labor, the poor and the environment. I suppose that means she is as clueless as people accuse our generation of being.

I had read somewhere that 16% of Republican delegates were minorities (up from 10% at the last convention). 39% of the delegates at the Democratic convention were minorities.

The 16% total includes white people from New England, dark-haired white people with vowels at the ends of their last names, 50 out Log Cabin Republicans, a handicapped white lady from Alaska, a few assorted black, latinos, arabs, and asians, some of whom are all four of the last combined, and a partridge in a pear tree.

PRICELESS! I have to agree with you as to how they came up with their 16%! If I were a minority, I would have to look at the RNC and say "Where am I"?!!!?
The Republican party does NOT represent America! IF it did I'd have to say "God HELP America", instead of "God BLESS America"

I'm actually surprised that there were as many black delegates/faces in the crowd, considering. Wonkette had a Whitest. Convention. Ever. scavenger hunt, with people sending in photos of black attendees.
Anyway, I was surprised by these figures from those Retro v. Metro ads: "The Republican Party, as represented by its affiliated lawmakers in the state legislatures, is almost 99 percent white and 1.1 percent minority. By contrast, Democratic state lawmakers are about 80 percent white and 20.1 percent minority."
