Desperate Lurch? Midnight speech? How scared are you of the RNC convention?

Major mistake to throw away tradition and hit the trail at midnight. Kerry almost looks stupid standing out infront of his small crowd that was put together, after having just left the display that went on during the convention. This will come across as desperation on Kerry's part. Admit it or not folks.

If W comes out of this convention with more of a bump than Lurch did, He's in trouble.

McCain, Arnold, Rudy G were all there to get the swing voters, not you head in the sand socialists.

Kerry's biggest mistake is that he's still on the whole vietnam thing. Let is go, you will lose. He needs to attack W, not Cheney. That is just foolish.

W addressing the issue of health care and trial lawyers is also a loss for the Kerry campaign. The 50 Million dollar trial lawyer kid kills you on that issue.

Maybe Lurch needs to have his sugar momma take out some ads or something, you know the little ho who made 500 million from sending jobs to other nations... but hey.. carry on...
kalabro
yeah, that's nice and all, but I've got one question for ya:

Where are the weapons of mass destruction that served as a pretext for the war in Iraq?
Herr Tiggee
PF - Do you support an Amendment to ban gay marriage?
bobby78751
I am VERY proud of John Kerry answering the accusations brought against him from a monkey chicken who was too afraid to go to war. Good for Kerry! This convention could very well have been Kerry's re-awakening.
RazorbackTX
PF - Who do you support for president?
Still too much of a coward to say?

There were THOUSANDS of people there, Pholly! Your pResident is falling apart. Lies, mistruths, half statements, and NOTHING POSITIVE TO RUN ON! Oh yeah, make more empty promises about the economy! Oh yeah, pimp the 9/11 tragedy that he LET HAPPEN and then fought to keep uninvestigated! Oh yeah, tout the triumph in Iraq, which is basically now controlled by a Shi'ite cleric and anti-American insurgents, and where nearly 1000 American soldiers have died and almost 7000 have been maimed and wounded! Oh yeah, keep talking about Saddam, whom your daddy funded and propped up, and DON'T talk about Osama, whom your daddy funded and propped up, and who's still on the lose! Oh yeah, talk about jobs, since we've lost 1 million, and the "ownership" society, since your tax cuts haven't done much good for the vast majority of Americans, and all the other bullcrap!

WHAT A HORRIBLE JOKE THAT NEEDS TO END IN NOVEMBER 2004! Enough of the lies, the nonsense, the hatefulness of these GOP people--WHO EVEN KICK THEIR OWN GAY REPUBLICANS STRAIGHT IN THE *SS EVERY CHANCE THEY CAN GET!

Folly, I really think you are running on empty here, just like your pResident. The convention was a disaster. Even Bush wants a change. Your days are numbered and finally the media is snapping out of its coma to bring out the truth. Whew, about time. Hopefully this will put a nail in the coffin of the fundamentalist christian sh**t.

I heard he was drunk. Probably just an ugly rumor. Nevertheless.......

Got a link for that accusation? Didn't think so.

What I want now are specifics on how Shrub is going to pay for all these programs he suddenly wants. Talk about desparate!

UH OH LURCH! TIME is reporting a double digit lead for W now! That is a bigger bump than anyone thought would happen boys. Way bigger than you little bump after the Commie convention.

And yes, Lurch's little school kid rally looked pretty lame in comparison to the the display that was put on in NYC. Then again, that is why most smart politicians stay home during the other parties convention.

I am wondering how you little socialists are going to try and "spin" a double digit lead?
HornFan
Keep the spin for yourself, I'll take a win in November.
hockeyTom
The only results that matter are on November 2nd. Plus, we haven't even had the debates yet. I can't wait to hear Shrub stutter, stammer, and a so a but a. Bring it on.
gobar
I suspect it is not accurate, after that mess of a convention how could it be?

Polls don't mean anything on Nov. 2. smile.gif Sit and spin, Little Filly!

I'd rather be a socialist any day rather than a Repug Nazi.

Were you not the little girls trumping the polls? Oh wait, thats when Kerry had a shot.

Kerry is a terrible candidate.

Bush is a terribler candidate. smile.gif

Oh, yeah, Little Filly has no candidate. Yeah, right.
PhillyFan
Actually, this is the problem of all ya'all...

It's not that you dont like Kerry, it's that you hate bush.

That DOES NOT get you in the white house.

Rule number 1, put up a good candidate first. Did you not see this lesson from Bob Dole?

Kerry=Dole.

A reinvigorated Democratic base is going to stomp all over a Republican candidate that can't decide if he's trying to run a centrist campaing or energize his base, prompting both to be MIA on election day. Just because the religious right and Log Cabin Republicans don't have anyone else to vote for, doesn't mean they're going to vote for Bush.

You know, I saw the poll numbers over the weekend and got very depressed. Although I am overjoyed that John Kerry is finally sticking it to the administration, the question remains, is it too late?

Of course the GOP got a bump from the convention - snake oil salesmen used to get a lot of good attention at first, too. The current administration is masterful at hiding the true intentions behind their policies and their actions, and this convention showed all of that. They are selling the public a "hoo-rah, America first and America best" image that is very attractive, and that makes Kerry's job a lot tougher.

It is good to see that he has the support of some Clinton staffers, only Clinton has managed to equal the GOP at its slick marketing efforts, but Kerry needs to go farther.

He needs to keep hitting the President on the sluggish economy, on the mistakes in the war on Iraq, on the distraction from the true war on terrorism that Iraq has become - he needs to do exactly what Bush did after the Dem convention - use the perceived strengths in his opponent against him.

Kerry ran as a tough veteran, so the Bush campaign attacks his credibility and character on that issue to weaken him (through a front organization, of course). Kerry needs to show how Bush's vaunted ability to set a course and stick with it is a disaster - because it prevents him from seeing his own mistakes and making corrections.

The War on Terrorism is one that requires quick responses and changes in methods as the terrorists change. Fighting that war with one track, on only one path, is a recipe for failure, and Kerry needs to make that clear while also pushing Bush's failure on the domestic front.

Hey PhillyCoward - where does your candidate stand in the polls?
hockeyTom
I have seen some polls that are alot closer than others. Bill Clinton spoke with Kerry for an hour the other night before the President's heart surgery, and he urged him to stay more focused on the economy, jobs and health care, which are his strong points. This is Shrub's achilles heel, and if Kerry keeps up the pressure I expect alot of the polls to get closer.

Oh poor poor lurch can't seem to do anything right!

Maybe he should get back to windsurfing like normal folks do...

And I'm sure no Republican Congressman or Senator has paid for abortions that they regularly vote to outlaw.

If you ever grow a spine we would love to hear about the candidate you support.
