Little Filly, why so glum and mean? I'm sure your evil side of the political spectrum (oh, yeah, you don't have a condidate to support) will get Bruce Willis to resurrect Bruno for a few concert dates, too.

Actually I was thinking he'd get Steve Allen and Edie Gourmet.
Or Peggy Lee.
You know, the BIG NAME Republican headliners
Besides. Philly Fan just needs to get laid.

Well, I'm sure right-winger skank-ho Bo Derek could handle that situation.

Ah, Faux News. About as "fair and balanced" as a Florida election.

I hear Little Filly is quite a hottie and doesn't need any help in that department.
Ok, back to my liquid lunch...

You guys make me laugh so much on these message boards. I am very careful not to take a swallow of Pepsi while I am reading. Really burns the nostrils!

The rethuglicans have countered this event with one of their own:
Charlton Heston and Bo Derek will perform "Love Letters" at the Alabama State Fairgrounds in Birmingham. I hear there are plenty of tickets available.
(Note to PhillyFan - I came up with Tally Ho Ho Ho, you are welcome to use it but is should only be used during the holiday season, carry on.)

For what it's worth: Went to the RNC Presidential Gala Wednesday night (5/5), country singer Collin Raye (sp?) performed. Not a big country fan, but I knew a few songs. Don King was also there, waving American flags, screamingg "Four More Years." Friend had picture made with him at previous event, really nice guy. I got hammered - tons of free booze and really awesome food too, unusual post-soft money (went to NRSC fundraiser a while back, was like a soup kitchen). No mention of gay marriage. Tons of hot Secret Service guys. Friend of mine and I pissed this couple in front of us off because we kept making sarcastic remarks about everything anybody said, even W.
Hey, while I'm detailing my GOP-related social life, and since this is a thread related to some extent to political festivities: Few weeks back went to Young Republicans party at Platinum (Euro-trash-type bar) in DC, friends and I were promised free drinks/open bar by British intelligence. Were given drink ticket (as in, one) when we went in - never, ever a good sign. Nothing good ever comes of a drink ticket. I got beer (Bud), friends got mixed drinks from very limited selection of not very great booze, all used very conservatively, so to speak. Awful, awful, dancing, clothes, etc. Saw two fanny packs. I set my expectations so low and yet still was horrified. Chugged beer, smoked a lot, friends were finishing "drinks," told them if we didn't leave immediately I was going to switch parties, we left and went to a bar.
Ho-hum. By the way, I suspect PhillyFan has no problems getting laid, but I'm sure he appreciates your concern.

Don King...now, that's a respectable guy! That now makes three minorities they can filter throughout the RNC in NYC for good camera shots!

Also saw a guy in a turban and somebody in a sari, I think it is? I don't know, I was drunk. I was at a conference before hand and this one company was celebrating their 35th and they kept giving me champagne, I was really effed up when I got on the metro, had to go all the way up to Woodly Park, biggest escalator EVER!!!!!! HUGE!!!!!! Especially after a glass or five of champagne. They could have had a meal service and movie during this escalator ride. Jeez. My neighbor, who owns a hardware store, did not attend.

I went to DC with a friend once on the day after our finals in college and he just had to take me around town on the Metro and were on a similar escalator and he said a movie (Die Hard?) had been filmed in the escalator. I swear to God, I thought it was going to reach to heaven.

I know it's off topic, but I had to comment that hte biggest escalator I've ever been on is at the Tower Hill metro station in London England. The escalator from the Jubilee Line level (3 trains come into the one station) to the street level goes over 150 feet up (or down, depending).
It was freakin huge. I don't know if the one in DC is larger, but that on e was huge

Because you have a "thing" for "escolators".
You know, man on dog, man on escalator (correct spelling.)
It was a joke, didnt mean to confuse you William.
