I'm not in SF and I've always thought Hatch was an old queen, and Frist appears to have sugar in his tank. Another femmy GOPer was former Missouri Senator John Danforth (now Ambassadrix to the UN). There are several others in the Senate, but I can't think of them right now.

I've run into several very heterosexual Mormons that do odd things to my gaydar (not the least of Mr Jennings who just broke $1mil on Jeopardy). I think it may be an issue that SLC was isolated for so long and continues, in many ways, to be isolated from the rest of the country that its norms of masculine behavior are slightly off kilter, and anything off kilter gets registered on gaydar. In addition, I've found devout and educated religious types tend to not fall into the stereotype of the heterorsexual male. Call it the Catholic priest effect.... ok, bad choice.
