This White House can't help but
lie about
everything. QUOTE
[White House spokesman] Almacy said the reason that Bush is in Crawford, Texas, is due to the renovation of the West Wing of the White House.
\"He's operating on a full schedule; he's just doing it from the ranch instead of from the White House,' Almacy said. \"The only week he had officially off was this last week.'
Feeling the heat about that vacation while men and women are dying in Iraq?

Good that the White House has initiated the new telecommuting policy. Workers' rights are important. Did a union get Dubya that benefit?

Just wondering, KW, why you aren't harping on the fact that Congress, like they do every year, takes a vacation even longer than the president. Why the omission of this fact?
As if a president--ANY president--ever has a real vacation anyway.

I've never heard Congress claim they were in recess because someone was painting the Capitol or putting down new carpet.
Liar, liar!

Liar? How so? Weeks ago it was announced he would be on vacation during August, just as he's done the last few Augusts.
You really need to chill, dude. Maybe Katrina will do that for ya.

But the whole point is (and I know it often goes right over your head) that he's now saying he's NOT on vacation but simply moved out because of the renovations.

He's just experiencing vacation related activity programs for 5 weeks, but he's not really on vacation.
He's already set the record for the most vacation ever taken by a president. It took him only 5 years to break Ronald Reagans record that took him 8 years.

I heard GWB was actually reading a book while on "vacation"...it was "The History of Salt". I am not making this one up. He would have been much better off reading "Presidency for Dummies". As a matter of fact, the entire planet would have been better off had he read "Presidency for Dummies".

Did he finally get through
with this one?

Raz, not sure about that....it DID have pictures, so that surely must have helped. At least he might be able to mouth the words of the pictures, even if he couldn't pronounce the written words. Let's just hope there are no nuclear cooling towers in that book. We all know the trouble he has pronouncing the word nuclear. Gosh, maybe he should learn to speak 'merican.

Must be something that is handed down from one administration to the next, because GWB's predecessor was the consummate flip-flopper (of course, Kerry wasn't at all, was he?

).

MIB, I'm afraid that's just not the case. Bush is capable of being an idiot all by himself, he needs no help from previous administrations. Heaven only knows previous administrations have provided plenty of fodder for idiocy.

Bush returns to D.C. early because of Katrina I guess the \"renovations\" were completed.
Is Katrina a blind, brain dead woman in a vegetative state the right wingers want to keep alive?
Oh, wait, you're talking about the hurricane, never mind.

You don't get out much, do you?
Didn't think so.
