Kurd article

"I am 50 years old, but my life just started today," said one Kurdish fighter who was helping a crowd topple a large bronze statue of Mr. Hussein dressed in traditional Arab garb.

To avert a potential clash with Turkey, Bush administration officials said American forces would soon take control of the city from the Kurds. A Kurdish leader, Jalal Talabani, pledged that fighters would begin withdrawing today to forestall the possibility of Turkish military intervention.

This is getting interesting. Now the U.S. and the Kurds are starting to develop a struggle history.

Turkey does not want the Kurds establish their own country. Right/wrong they will do what they need to in prevention of this... I think Iran is even concerned that this would happen.

That's the entire reason that the Kurds want their own nation.

Who cares what Turkey thinks (not to even mention Iran)?
