Worst pollen season in human history? Armies of microgametophytes worthy of their own flying logos and music intro on Eyewitless News?

Whatever, it's bad. Most years I don't show spring allergy symptoms, but I've sure got 'em now.

Does anybody an over-the-counter allergy med with minimal side effects (especially dry-mouth)?

---

ETA: Spoke w/ my PCP's office, they recommend any OTC allergy med whose active ingredient is 10mg Loratadine, branded Alavert, Claritin-D or various house labels.

I find Claritin, or rather Walgreens or Wal-Mart's knock off of Claritin (Loratadine) to be the best. I have horrible year round allergy symptoms that get absolutely wretched during the spring and fall. That's the thing that helps me without any of the side effects. Clarinex is good as well, but that's not available OTC.

Worst season I've ever had for sure - bar none.

I'm taking Allegra and using Flonase. My drive to work is too wacky to risk anything that makes me drowsy, but the allergies are too annoying to allow me to work. That combo seems to do the trick for me without making me tired/sleepy.

Excercise also seems to have a long term as well as short-term benefit for me too. Closing the windows at night and using AC costs but it helps.

All I know is that it's bad for me in the spring but in the fall..oh man..it's horrible.
