i wasn't sure where to post this
as we don't have a health and wellness
section on the discussion board.
anyways, my sister's new boyfriend
works out twice a day and i don't,
i didn't know if that were healthy.
but i am looking to add some bulk
so i was wondering if this might
be a better way. peace jay o

That depends on a variety of factors: age -- if you're btw say 20 and 35, then it's likely to be good (*) -- after that the bulk building possibilties begin to diminish (nature); * although no matter what your age, a huge factor will be what you're doing in the two workouts. Same body parts? Probably not helpful -- they need rest -- and it is both rest AND change/challenge that causes muscles to grow. Different kinds of exercise - e.g., heavy weights in the AM and light weights/aerobics/ abs in the PM will spread out the workload and allow you to be more intense in the exercises that build bulk.

when i have the luxury of time to do it, i love to lift weights over lunch, then do cardio at night.
i concur that you shouldn't work out the same group twice in one day.
