Not to mention the image search of the name of just about any hot athlete.
mets57
hot athletes + shirtless = outsports

I'm shocked. I must have missed the OutSports discussion of the "Scarlett Johansen grope." And I'm glad of it.

And, of course, anyone searching for "joe sakic (swoon!)" winds up here, as well. wink

Had an interesting experience when I called to order tickets for the ACC soccer tournament. When the guy asked me how I found out about the event (obviously not the most popular of sporting events in general or even for college) I told him someone had posted about it on a "gay sports website called Outsports".

There was the briefest silence on the phone so I repeated it. Taken aback the guy quickly responded "Whatever makes it work." Then realizing that could be taken the wrong way he immediately asked me to spell it - the response you would expect from any salesperson who has discovered a potential new marketing tool.

I rarely specifically mention Outsports but often have conversations in which something I learned here comes up. And it's something I would probably not have investigated had it not been for Outsports.

A Poland-born German-American server at a store I went to today was impressed to find out that I knew that there were two Polish-born Germans who were (IMO) the best players on the German team, and that a third was East German-born. From there we struck up a conversation that led to me buying merchandise there rather than one of the other two large chains in the same mall that both sold similar items for considerably less (and poorer quality from my experience).

In fact her first words when I entered the store were "Oh, don't buy that here. Go to XorY. They cost less."!

Lol, I'm quite guilty of discovering this site in the search for...erm..."useful" photos when I was 17. I stuck around for the non-photo related stuff though. biggrin.gif

laugh.gif I have no idea why that links you here.

Gigi Fernandez. lmao... I'm sure they are enjoying the Tennis Forum, though, as it sounds like they'd fit right in. The rest I'm not so sure about. lol

More to the point, why would you search on that? Is it a song lyric or something?
It's relatively easy to see the various sports and gay related stuff, but I'm a little surprised at some of the others. On the other hand, I've accidentally come across some odd search results myself--I can't recall what it was I was searching for when I came across the website for the "vulva bed" but it certainly wasn't what I was looking for.

I think the search that brought me to outsports several years ago was "Billy Bean gay".

The Fray is the name of the band and the song is entitled "Over My Head (Cablecar)".

Don't forget the classic "gay football players" search term.

It brought me here.... wink.gif
