Hail alma mater, ever will our hearts be true
You will live in us forever, loyal will we be to you.
We sing forever your praises, evermore our love renew
Pledge our devotion to you, dear old CU!

Fight CU down the field, CU must win
Fight, fight for victory, CU knows no defeat
So roll up a mighty score, never give in
Shoulder to shoulder we will fight, fight, (fight fight) fight!

Go. Team. Fight (but be polite and use good sportsmanship). Win!

Was the question addressed to Joe, Cyd?

The point of the posts was trying to get a singular person to acknowledge a fact. That person is not Joe. This should be plain to you by reading through the thread. I knew the answer to the question.

Oh wait, I forgot, we have board favorites and the rest of us. Two sets of rules for conduct. Maybe you should create a \"preferred list\", or maybe just route all the posts through Joe for his approval before they're posted to the board?

Nice open forum. Nice equality. More Outsports hypocrisy.
I think I said this to you before but it bears repeating: martyrdom is not becoming.

Your trying to bait the ex-PP (by asking the same question over and over and over and over) is the same tactic that HE uses (with his repeated posting of pictures) to try and bait PF.
coyoteugly
But you have the right to reply in the following tone:

QUOTE
2-7. Now you don't have to ask the damn question anymore because you know he isn't going to answer.
But my tone gets questioned?

Sorry JIP, anyway you slice it, some people have priveledge over others here on the board. You've got it. You know it. And you get away with it.
PhillyFan
Actually JIP the "new" picture is not intended to bait myself. I see it more like he saw it on TV or on the WAY COOL scoreboard telling him to cheer.

I've seen just a couple of sports "writers" (Dr Z) who are in love with that team. The majority of what I've have read says..

You should not run a rookie 35 times a game
They have played no one.

In the same regard, I did not have time to even pay any attention to the GB game because of the kicking/injury situation during the Philly game. Looking at the stats/turnovers/score of the game and how bad GB has been playing this year.. Then how bad MN had been playing and Buffalo just stinks with the rookie... I call them frauds and not actual contenders. I've asked Sting/CU what they thought about Tampa since they saw some of it on sunday.. we all agree.. frauds.

It would be my hope that someone who "says" they had season tickets since 89 would be able to elaborate (without pictures of a car or a game from 3 years ago) could defend/elaborate on the other side.

To be fair, I fully admit any actual question to do with Tampa is strictly intended make him look like an idiot who knows nothing but pompoms.

Now, perhaps we can get back to business. For the rest of the year Dmac will not be mobile. When the heck is Reid going to try and establish a running game?

That defense is good enough to carry the team, but if he thinks passing 52 times a game with a hobbled QB is going to win.. he's an idiot.

Great research there. rolleyes.gif

You are kidding me right? WOW! If the three of you thought it, it must be true. No biased opinion and apparantly the only true expert analysis.
coyoteugly
Kenny, waiting... Let's discuss football.

QUOTE
Kenny:

I fully disagree, the three of us rarely agree on ANYTHING. I enjoy a good defense, Sting enjoys a good offense, CU just hates philadelphia.

when Sting starts his dribble about Moss doing whatever, it's good ole PF who points out how Moss never plays well vs philly. How they roll coverage and take the deep threat away.

Or argue about how much the crowd noise will/will not have an effect in KC considering the birds just played in that crap ass cinderbox dome in ATL.

So yeah, asking a Tampa fan why they think I should consider them a contender is a valid question. I've clearly stated Carolina is the BEST team in that division. I'm yet to be proven otherwise.
stinger85
Kenny, it's people like Puker that drive us crazy. We have a couple of friends that show up on Sundays to watch games that are just like him. One is a Redskin fan who's convinced they are starting 6-0 and believes they actually out played Dallas in that MNF game. He does not know one person on the team. One is a Steelers fan that thinks Big Ben is what won them their games. He knows how to wave a towel and cheer "go Ben!", that's about it.

I put Puker in that same category. He knows zilch about football but cheers for his team when they are winning.

I can tell you why Minn will win their division
PF can tell you why Philly will win their division.
CU can tell you why the Chiefs will win their division.

We're askig Puker why the Bucs will win their division. He's been too busy playing house (or something like that) to reply. If you want to fill in for him, be our guest.
Joe in Philly
Some will find this amusing. TO is at the Phillies' game tonight with...Freddie Mitchell. wink
phillyrunner
What is Freddie doing in Philly? Hoping Andy Reid will give him another look? Or maybe he is applying for the kickers position. biggrin.gif
PhillyFan
Freddie is still rehabing from injury.

When he IS healthy though... hmmmmm

Secondly Stinger, you might be cute, but naive. You do know that there are people in this world that once you let them know something drives you crazy, it provokes them to do it even more. My god, you live with the king of experts in that field don't you? wink

Third, I dont know anything about Gay rodeos so I guess that really must tick you off!

The brain trust of both the Toronto Blue Jays and MLSE (which owns the Leafs and Raptors) will be heading down to Mexico City for the SFO-ARI game this weekend in anticipation of bringing a regular season NFL game to Toronto in 2006 or 2007. Speculation is rife that a pitch will be made to the NFL for a team (new or possibly the relocated New Orleans Saints) for Toronto.

Toronto Star article.

I know that you all have been waiting with baited breath to see what me, my baby, and my cat predict! Well, wait no longer:

Buffalo at New Orleans – Buffalo (The QB Suck Vortex is going to be so strong in this game that they have installed seatbelts to in the stadium so no one gets pulled into the crap dimension.)

Denver at Jacksonville – Jacksonville (Leftwich has a leprechaun stuffed up his ass.)

Detroit at Tampa Bay – Tampa (A Lion WR is gonna get hurt this week, I can feeeeel it.)

Houston at Cincinnati – Cincinnati (Houston is firing coaches in the second week and benching starters. If you saw Dom Capers wearing a tutu on the sidelines and Carr praying in the huddle holding a giant cross, would you REALLY be surprised?)

Indianapolis at Tennessee – Colts (But the bigger story is: Will Manning Throw A TD or he is just done with that now, he got enough last year, thank you very much.)

San Diego at New England – New England (the façade falls off one of these teams)

Seattle at Washington – Seattle (But neither team really wants to win it, they will keep trying to find ways to lose, but it’s just that someone HAS to.)

St. Louis at N.Y. Giants – St. Louis (And welcome back, Mr. Faulk!)

N.Y. Jets at Baltimore – Baltimore (Again, the QB Suck Vortex is going to be strong. Final Score 3-2, unless the defenses start scoring TDs.)

Dallas at Oakland – Oakland (A tough game to predict, but I think that Moss will make the difference, so long as Collins isn’t drunk.)

Minnesota at Atlanta – Atlanta (That Vikings defense, last week it was hot, this week it will be cold, then hot then cold then cold again, then hot . . .)

Philadelphia at Kansas City – Philly (KC has been looking a might porous, and McNabb is riding a karma high.)

San Francisco at Arizona – San Fran (Take me down to Mexico City, where the grass is dry and the lizards are pretty!)

Green Bay at Carolina – Carolina (Again a tough game to call. Carolina really likes to lose to sucky teams, but I think that God is actively smiting Brett Favre at this point. Kinda like Job in the bible.)

I now return you to your regularly scheduled catfight. biggrin.gif

The Bucs win their division cause they have the hottest players, a flashy new Cadillac and the best uniforms!

Plus, as an added bonus, lots of hot guys sit around me at the games... wink

Actually there Ken-Boy, thanks for the compliment. It's not my fault that I am able to watch and LEARN. Then bring that here for you to all LISTEN and learn. Sort of like a teacher in school, but better.

Second, considering you cheerleader girlfriend is now ranking the "frauds" as the number 1 team in the NFL, i'd assume he thinks they win the division. Sorry for paying attention.

Oh and before i forget rodeo is a recreation not a sport.. so carry on.
Kenny
PF, do you actually read the whole paragraphs or just focus on the words you like? I think I said you were an expert in driving people crazy.

If Rodeo is recreation, how about we throw yer happy a$$ up on a bull(not to be confused with BS) and see how long you last. On BS we all know you would last a lifetime! wink

A Puker quote from another thread..
QUOTE
this team makes the play offs and possibly wins the division.
The Bucs have played 2 bad teams and 1 team that played poorly. They beat 1 bad team by a missed extra point. They barely beat a team that had 5 turnovers in the game. The Bucs will be the Vikings of the past 2 years. And I look forward to Puker disappearing when they start to slide. You, on the other hand, will continue to be here showing support for your team.
PhillyFan
Sting, you must forgive the Yuck "Fanz"

I can only assume their flawed logic is coming from reading Dr. Z (he must be 90 years old now)and the write ups here. They seem to be the only misguided folks right now. Boys, don't use those as FACTS, use them as Comedy and "conversation" starters.

Ken-Boy, You called me an expert.. yes i am. If you listen, you might just learn something.

Detroit does have a chance to win this week, only if Garciasssssssss playsssssss for them. Then put 8-9 in the box and make Griese beat you.

Wait Garciasssss has a bad ankle... Bucs win this one, unless Harrington FINALLY shows some of the promise we've been hearing about, but have never seen.

Dear CU,

Here come DA AXE MAN!

DA AXE MAN?

stinger85
Week 4 preview:

Bills @ New Orleans - Bills, McGahee should run wild.

Detroit @ Tampa Bay - Tampa, Joey vs. Cover 2 is just too much.

Indy @ Tennessee - Indy, Manning & crew have to start clicking at some point, a division rival is the perfect time.

San Diego @ New England - San Diego, LT should be able to run up the middle. NE's only chance is a shoot-out.

Denver @ Jax - Jax, It's hard to win on the road after a MNF game and Jax is tough.

Houston @ Cincy - Cincy, Team where nothing is going right vs. Team where everything is going right.

Seattle @ Washington - Seattle, They usually suck on the road, especially to the East Coast, but the Redskins are just awful.

Rams @ NY Giants - Giants, The "shams" travel to a team looking to correct an embarrassment on national T.V.

NY Jets @ Baltimore - Baltimore, I think anything is possible in this game though. Nobody knows what to expect, except that it will be ugly.

Philly @ KC - Philly, This game will be decided on KC O-line vs. Trotter. I think Trotter wins the match-up.

Dallas @ Oakland - Oakland, Dallas has not looked good all year. And I'll take the Passing Offense over the 3.0 yards per carry Run Offense. Plus, Moss has always had huge games against Dallas.

Minn @ Atlanta - Vikes (Falcons should win, but I have to root for Minn), Vick & Co. should be able to run against an injury plagued defense who has never managed to contain Vick.

49ers @ Cardinals - Cardinals, If I recall correctly, the Cardinals were undefeated last year with McCown as their starter.

Green Bay @ Carolina - Carolina, It looks like last year's "streak team" is this year's "every other Sunday" team.
PhillyFan
Philly at KC,

This is KC’s game to win or lose. They have all of the pressure, not the birds. Their backs are against the wall after the thumping on Monday and they are playing at home.

The key is going to be what the Eagles do to offset that. If the Chiefs blitz, Reid needs to run some screens and dump offs to give Dmac time. He can’t call 52 pass plays and 18 run plays.

Kearse, needs to go from being MIA the first 3 games to getting pressure on QB. JJ will also need to bring some heat on Green so he does not have all day to pick the secondary apart.

I’m curious to see how Freedom Fries does as the new kicker in a hostile stadium. Keep everyone in their lanes and don’t allow the big return.

They do all of that and they have a shot in this game.

These teams rarely play eachother so I expect there might be a few big plays.

Let me be the first to offer my sincerest, deepest, heart-felt apologies to my good friend Stinger for not meeting your lofty expectations. I wish you and your football team the very best. Godspeed.

How many TD's will the pepper have?
stinger85
I say 2, maybe 3 again. Wiggins is due for a TD and the Falcons secondary is banged up. If the Vikes O-line can protect Culpepper from the Falcons front 4, then 3 TDs...1 to Wiggins, 1 to M. Robinson, and 1 to Williamson. Moore will have around 130 total yards (70 rushing, 60 receiving) but still record no TDs.

If Vikes D can limit Vick to less than 100 yards rushing, they win.
coyoteugly
Let's just hope that all the games are well played, with fine sportsmanship, and no injuries occur.
