Dante Hall does it AGAIN. A 4th consecutive game w/ either a punt or KO return ... KC up 24-23 in the 4th

Well the Seahawks game totally sucked today. The defense was holier than swiss cheese. One again, the Hawks come up short in the Bay. frown

The Giants game totally sucked today as well against Miami.

They couldn't tackle ANYONE on the field to save their lives.

Plus, I hear over and over how cornerbacks and safety's aren't paid to catch the ball, but when the ball is thrown right to you--even on defense...you have to catch the ball!

Impressive win by the Dolphins today... The loss against Houston in Week 1 could have been the best thing for the Dolphins. They haven't lost since!

Emmitt's return to Dallas as a Cardinal netted him -1 yard rushing on 6 carries. He left the game with over eleven minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter with a strained shoulder and did not return. Hope it's just precautionary and not a serious injury.

Cowboys go to 3-1 with the 24-7 win, far surpassing my expectations at this point in the young season by winning 3 in a row.

Damn...damn...damn...damn...damn!!!
Now I'm almost totally embarrassed to call myself a Raider fan!!!
Yes, you all can make fun of us losing to the bears.
It can't get any worse than this...well...maybe it can.
I haven't looked, but I'm pretty sure most every one chose the Raiders to win.
What makes the whole day s*** is the A's were losing at the same damn time.

I bet most of ya'll are watchin the Cubs, but how bout my BROWNS so far tonight !!!!!

Mos def a bad day for Oakland. How they lost to the Bears...well, today was Chicago's day. First the Bears, and then the CUBS! NINETY-FIVE YEARS...oops, wrong thread.

I was watching the Cubs, but switched back and forth a couple of times. The Browns were pretty impressive with Couch at QB.

And the Eagles finally won at the Linc! So what if they nearly coughed it up after watching an onside kick instead of trying to catch it, and allowed Washington to score a TD and attempt a two-point conversion that would've tied the game? And who cares that some Eagles idiot (Freddie Mitchell?) catches the next onside kick in the closing seconds and instead of falling to the ground, starts running around with it??? If he'd have fumbled it away I'd have gone down there myself to beat the snot out of him.

Point of interest to ESPN - steel companies make just as much steel in northeast Ohio, (and probably more) than in Pittsburgh !

Browns play better on the road, and tonite they didn't give up a 17 point lead to the Stillers like they did in last years playoff game !

I love the Browns fan in that promo that said he didnt care if they went 2-14 as long as they beat the Steelers! tongue.gif

Right back at ya Rush -- good win for the Eagles. The Skins hung in there until the end -- much improved team and I was impressed with Patrick Ramsey. I also switched between the Cubs and Steelers-Browns game. I really enjoyed watching the Browns offense (did I really say that) -- Couch was most definitely "on his game".

Looking forward to a great match-up tonight.

Washington has been exposed for the frauds they are, next up... big D... If they arent too busy with their hookers and hit and runs.

Hardly. NOW who's myopic?

Neither team distinguished itself out there. Donovan McNabb is hardly overrated because of his race. Sure, he isn't as lights out as some folks say he is because he isn't a classic drop back passer, but I blame part of whatever doldrums McNabb has on either his coach telling him not to run around or he himself deciding that running on a broken leg isn't worth the risk, not on the fact that he isn't a quality NFL quarterback.

Defensively, the Eagles were helped out by the Redskins committing a bunch of stupid penalties on offense, and they were within a picked up blitz and an on-target throw of facing overtime against a team that went 7-9 last year and they throttled twice.

That's not to say that the Redskins are any great shakes. How long is it before you stop being bewildered by the stupid penalties and just chalk them up to the Skins just not being as good a team as they would like to have you believe they are? Sure, they have the kind of offense that can move the ball against just about anyone, but no team in football can overcome the kind of stupidity the Redskins have shown again and again. The '91 Skins would have been 2-3 right now if they had committed all these false start penalties and the late hits, though the one late hit on Arrington should never have been called.

Perhaps there should be a five yard penalty for "running into the quarterback" that isn't an automatic first down for occasions when the defensive player eases up and nudges the quarterback and doesn't slam him to the turf. That wouldn't replace the 15-yard roughing the quarterback penalty when a guy flat out slams into a quarterback long after he releases the throw, but it might do as much to protect quarterbacks as anything else.

Myopic? OH perhaps, but this is what i know...

Washington couldn't beat philly with that banged up D, and wayne also went down yesterday.

Skins are soft up the middle on the run... and they have no running game. Bad combination come december.

Mr 56 is going to get those pentalties called against him because he has a reputation for hitting late and playing out of control.

The skins have been coasting along here.. they have gotten lucky and played teams where were banged up and without their stars. Frauds... write it down and we'll re-visit this in a few weeks.

I think their too busy with the NFL's #1 offense.
