Full Version: Locker room memories from high school & college
Maybe someone could fill me on on the technical reason for the jock strap...why isn't the wearers ass covered....
Just got around to reading the latest, long entries to this thread. I really enjoyed them, very vivid and very reminesent. I was terrified of gym class in high school, and just barely made it through jr high school gym. The group showers were too powerful and emotional for me. I was so attracted to so many of the guys but didn't understand it at the time. I saw my first uncut man/boy in jr high school--still very vivid.
And I was in band, and went on band trips. And I recall twice there were these sessions in someone's room where all the guys were supposed to get together for a circle jerk. And the whispered talk was about the upcoming circle jerk. So if you were invited, of course you went. And it all ended up being an exploit for someone to whip out a camera and take a picture of the 'victim' with his pants down pulling one off. But, people were actually doing it too. So when others share their stories of this happening in locker rooms, etc, I tend to think it was possible, not fantasy.

I remember the locker rooms and dressing out for P.E. I was so embarrassed about having body hair at such an early age that I really didn't pay too much attention to the other guys around me. I was always trying to get undressed and covered up before someone made a baboon joke.
There was one fellow in my freshman class that always got my attention. He was the one that took a long time in the shower. He was furry too but I didn't see my fur as that attractive. I would catch him looking at me from time to time. I wonder if he liked furry guys and was checking me out too.
If I could have only had Copman as my bodyguard back then. He could have gotten to see all my furryness and protected me from the gorilla jokes. wink

I had the opposite problem -smooth as a baby for too long - I was a very LATE bloomer. I can sympathize with you but think I'd rather have the pubes early rather than be the LAST one. Of course they came in eventually - better late than never. 
While I hated high school PE (all boys school), I slowly realized I liked to look at this boy, Carl in my 1st period PE class. He wasn't a jock, but he was popular and was a bit of a smart aleck. He was always a 'skin' in shirts vs. skins in our basketball periods, and I couldn't help looking at him and his lean, muscular bod. Thank god I didn't get caught! Wasn't long till I really started noticing and appreciating some of the other jocks in school, and relishing any chance I had to see them, in or out of the lockerroom.
One of my favorite memories was in my jr. year English class - we got to see several films made by graduating seniors. One of them was done by a senior, and it featured most of the graduating senior class jocks. He showed game footage and some interviews done from either in the lockerroom or outside of school. The lockerroom interviews were great - some while changing or just sitting there after a game, all sweaty!
But, my favorite was his interview with probably my biggest crush at the time, Gary a track star. After a brief interview, it showed Gary in the lockerroom shower after a race, soaping up his armpits and shampooing. Someone (a teammate) was talking off camera to him about the race, but the film showed him from the waist up, showering for 5-6 seconds. I couldn't help but wonder if the filmmaker liked Gary as much as I did! I memorized every moment of that film, and fueled many a fantasy about me and Gary. Still gives me a bit of a thrill, some 30 yrs after the fact.

I don't have any of these memories. I never showered after PE in junior high. It was never a forced issue. In high school, I never did either because I had basketball practice, which was usually after school, so I just showered when I got home.

The movie Outside Providence has a scene with this same thing happening, and the unwitting chump who starts jerking in the dark is nicknamed "Jizz" for the rest of his high school days.

hey, I've lurked here for a long time but this topic really got my attention and I finally decided to post. I remember lots of guys from back in high school and college, especially ones wearing spandex..... Since it was around 1990 I was in high school it was prime spandex time. I vividly remember quite a few guys in spandex who I liked a lot. And when I was in college I saw quite a few guys who I can still picture. There was this one guy my freshman year who must have been a soccer player who wore spandex shorts to match his "checkered" Umbro soccer shorts. It was the first time I had ever seen anyone wearing orange spandex shorts. It almost seemed like he was showing off or something. He did the same thing with black spandex, red spandex, silver-gray spandex over the next couple years. Sometimes I'd see him in other kinds of spandex, but it was usually the matching Umbros and spandex. He also had nice socks pushed down with Adidas Sambas. This one time in the dining hall he was all alone at a table for four and he was wearing his black spandex sticking way out under his black Umbro shorts, and I really wish to this day that I had gone over and asked him if I could sit at that table, so I could eventually strike up a conversation about his spandex somehow. I just couldn't get up the balls to do it. I regret it still....
When I was a junior I saw this guy who was coming from the direction of the recreational gym/sports building (he was probably working out or something) who was wearing black Tinley spandex shorts (probably padded cycling shorts) sticking out under red Champion mesh shorts. There was a series of steps which was where I noticed him. He must have noticed me checking him out, because at the bottom of the steps he pulled on his mesh shorts to cover up the spandex. I wanted to tell him not to do that, but I was so closeted and didn't want to say that. I wonder still if my checking him out in his spandex caused him to stop wearing spandex totally. If so, I'd really feel bad, because he was pretty nice looking in his spandex. I still jerk off into my spandex thinking about him, as well as the soccer shorts and spandex guy.
There were so many other awesome guys who I remember vividly as well, like some of the guys from the rugby team who wore spandex shorts under their rugby shorts, sometimes fancy cycling shorts even (like Descente), a couple guys who I knew who wore Bike compression shorts a lot for working out but who seemed to enjoy it, and so on. Even in high school there were some spandex guys. I remember a guy who happened to be in the barber shop one day who had denim blue jean shorts on with a t-shirt, and it turned out he had blue spandex shorts on under the jean shorts! A couple times he snapped the spandex....pulled outward on the bottom of the spandex and let it snap back onto his leg. It was like he wanted everyone to see his spandex, which I did.
I think it was in eighth grade or so that I saw a guy in Wendy's who had a white t-shirt tucked into black spandex shorts with big words screen printed on the sides of the legs.....I think one leg said "SURF" and the other said "BOYS", with "SURF BOYS" repeated around the waist in smaller letters. Of course, it was the fact that this guy had the spandex on with his shirt tucked into it and no shorts over it that was just amazing.....he was pretty awesome.
I just wish I could have been wearing more spandex when I was younger.....it took me until I was a junior in college to publically start wearing spandex, even though I had spandex hidden away all through high school.

I remember being in 8th grade there was this guy in gym class named Josh. He and one of his other friends were very developed in the 8th grade...really thick pubic hair etc. Well Josh used to get dressed for gym class in the dark the entire lockeroom would be in the dark becuase he did not want people looking at him. I think he may have been a little insecure about being so developed. None the less...I can remember one day the coach came in and flipped on the lights and there is stood naked as he never wore underwear except during class...My friend and I both looked at each other in shock at the size of his member and the fact that he was so hairy! I will never forget it... then in HS he would change for gym class and I can remember him changing into his jock from his bikini briefs! this was the late 80's folks...they were popular! anyhow...I can remember him standning there now a few years older naked and me still wondering when I was going to look like him chest hair thick pubes.
to this day all I have to do is shut my eyes and I can see him standing there. I think he may have been my first gay attraction. He was supposedly straight...but I had my doubts.
anyhoo....just thought I would share.

God I tried to be like him in every way I could think of. I constantly pestered him for more practice and instruction. I worked my ass off - on and off the field - just to get a moments notice from him. He probably thought I was just one more dumb jock kid.
I think thats about the time I started wearing a jock all the time for sports and gym class.
I'm sure he didn't have a clue; hell I didn't for several years after.

I had the biggest crush on one of my coaches,,he must have known because my bench was right in front of the coaches office and I found myself staring into his office often. He would come in slip off his BIKE coaches shorts and just stand there in his tight T, white briefs (Hanes and FTL), white socks and tennis shoes. Then he would put on his BIKE jock, take his time adjusting the waistband, ass straps and pouch, then slid his BIKE coaches shorts back on. When he bent over you could see the ass straps from his jock through his shorts. I always wondered if had a thing for jocks because over his door he had written "socks and jocks", under his desk was a box of jocks he had picked up laying around the locker room and he would collect from the guys at the end of the year.
One day while he was out of the office I went into this office and snagged a handfull of used jocks out of the box under his desk. Couldn't wait to get my finding home!
I would sign up for sports that the Coach ran just so I could be around him.
The pubes comment, I couldn't wait for my bush to come in! Seems like it took forever! Now I shave mine regularly, go figure:)

Sounds like your coach knew he was being watched and put on a performance. Also sounds as if he had some sort of a jock fetish as well.

Mine was Mr. DeBoer. He taught junior high science and coached boys' basketball & track. He had light blond hair, a cross between a runner's & college wrestler's build and blue eyes. Great guy and always helpful and kind with everyone!!
I saw him a couple years ago. He looks a bit older, but he looks EXACTLY the same.

I remember lots of guys from back in high school and college, especially ones wearing spandex..... Since it was around 1990 I was in high school it was prime spandex time. I vividly remember quite a few guys in spandex who I liked a lot. And when I was in college I saw quite a few guys who I can still picture. There was this one guy my freshman year who must have been a soccer player who wore spandex shorts to match his \"checkered\" Umbro soccer shorts. It was the first time I had ever seen anyone wearing orange spandex shorts. It almost seemed like he was showing off or something. He did the same thing with black spandex, red spandex, silver-gray spandex over the next couple years. This one time in the dining hall he was all alone at a table for four and he was wearing his black spandex sticking way out under his black Umbro shorts, and I really wish to this day that I had gone over and asked him if I could sit at that table, so I could eventually strike up a conversation about his spandex somehow. I just couldn't get up the balls to do it. I regret it still....
When I was a junior I saw this guy who was coming from the direction of the recreational gym/sports building (he was probably working out or something) who was wearing black Tinley spandex shorts (probably padded cycling shorts) sticking out under red Champion mesh shorts. There was a series of steps which was where I noticed him. He must have noticed me checking him out, because at the bottom of the steps he pulled on his mesh shorts to cover up the spandex. I wanted to tell him not to do that, but I was so closeted and didn't want to say that. I wonder still if my checking him out in his spandex caused him to stop wearing spandex totally. If so, I'd really feel bad, because he was pretty nice looking in his spandex. I still jerk off into my spandex thinking about him, as well as the soccer shorts and spandex guy.

I really enjoyed your post. Great to read about your sightings. Very similar to mine (I started this thread). And I was in HS from 1990-94 so it really was about that time when guys were just getting into spandex. Nowadays it's definitely common, but still exciting to see HS and college students wearing spandex.

Ah, yes, communal showers after P.E. class in high school. Awesome! My favorite part of the day. Unfortunately, P.E. was only during my freshman and sophomore years. But we still had locker rooms in high school and communal showers in college, so yeh, there is a memory or two there.
The shower floor was slippery and I fell on my behind. However, this little accident quickly turned into an pleasantly exciting experience as I was sitting bare butt on the floor of the showers with about 20 other guys and warm soapy water spashing down from above the guys beside me.
As I was looking hip level at the two guys, one of them got a handful of liquid soap and started vigorously washing my hair. The other guy turned around and let the water stream from his body onto my head and face.
With the water from their body pouring down onto me, it was a really wet and wild experience that I enjoyed. From then on, I would always take showers sitting down.
However, this never evolved to anything more serious than just some soapy water play. The view is awsome and having a couple of guys wash your hair is a turn on that I will never forget.

Just the flip side or your experience, Explorersea. I had never experienced a communal shower until I was forced to do so in the Marines. You want to talk about embarrassing...it felt like all eyes were on me (when they were not). But, as you might guess, I quickly got use to it. And, to say that I took daily showers with some of Americas finest, I couldn't tell you what anyone was packin. Strange huh?
However, today when I shower at the gym, I am alot more at ease, but I still think people are looking at me. Guess I'll never get over that.

What country did you go to school in? I wish they had real baths (as well as the usual mundane showers)in P.E. in the U.S. like they did in Japan.
By the way, those Speedo swim (racer briefs) and water polo suits really rock too.

As for my ex PE teacher, he was only about 15 yrs older, and we eventually became FB's, then good friends. He was a great guy, and his partner and I were with him when he lost the battle to AIDS in the late 1980's. And yes, his partner knew everything we did, especially that first night. We had to share gym lockers in high school (I guess there weren't enough to go around). I shared mine for two years with a Palestinian Muslim, and since neither of us had reached that "heavy sweat and smell" stage of adulthood, we had a mutual consent thing that if either of us had forgotten our gym T-shirt, we could wear the other person's. My T-shirts were all standard ones, but his were all in Arabic. I got a lot of bizarre looks when I'd wear one of them into gym, but I didn't really care.

My high school was strange in that it didn't require showers. So, I'd never had any kind of experience with nudity in a locker room setting on a large scale...that is until yesterday. I went to the gym with my boyfriend here in D.C., and I don't think I've ever seen so many guys so happy to stand there naked and make sure everyone got a good look at them.

Unfortunately, the only one that applies is the "were" part. I have been happily monogamous to hubby for over 25 years, (although there are a few on this board that tempt me).
Before I met hubby, and this was pre-aids, the locker room at the baths was my favorite place to "get things started". And yes, if it involved jock straps, shoulder pads and maybe a collar, all the better.

I was a swimmer for my child/adolescent hood and was always around dudes in speedos, which rarely did anything for me. I was also the last fricken person to hit puberty, which made my sport choice hell at the time, as you can see what someone has to offer in their speedo..lol Anyway - I remember I was obsessed with this one football player who had a great ass. Ah, mine was Coach Richardson back in high school. He looked just like Mark Spitz. For all you younger fellows on here, Mark Spitz was a swimmer who won 7 gold medals in the 1972 Olympics.
