All of the big sports sites are pushing their fantasy games already. I checked one of the online fantasy games that I played last year and their signup starts on May 19th.
MAY 19!!!!

A lot of people play Fantasy Football. The web sites are in competition for these people. That's probably why they are starting signups so early. The early bird gets the worm, or the loot in this case.
