We have 32 players so far. The most popular pick is the Raiders over the Jets. Only six guys think the Jets can win in Oaklnad two weeks in a row. The Packers and Dolphins are also heavily favored by our Pick 'Em players. Only 10 guys are siding with the Niners and 10 are going with the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens.

The Bucs-Eagles game is split just about even, as 17 back the Bucs and 15 like the Eagles.

As for Confidence Points assigned, here is the breakdown:

Geez, I need a boyfriend!

There are 8 of us with 4 points already thanks to the Eagles, but I'm the only one with 3-confidence-points on the Jets, so I could be off to a great start!

Well if ever a reason to root for the Raiders...

Go Raiders(my pick), but I'm so torn between Rich Gannon and Vinny Testaverde.

Raiders are my pick also. Watching the game now, just wondering, after Rice scored their last touchdown, was the lace on his panties showing. I know he's married and all but come on. Jets just scored again, getting good....

Jets are done. Why didn't they go for an onsides kick with less than 2 minutes left? Stupid decision in my opinion.
Jim at Outsports
I didn't mind not trying an onside and as it turned out they had the Raiders pinned at their 20 with 3rd and 11. But a run blitz was a dumb call. Raiders run wide and it's over. Play conservative, get the ball back with a minute to go and who knows?

As the Bucs-Eagles, Iggles played well but the Bucs stunk. If that was playing for Dungy's job they flunked.

Only three guys missed both games on Saturday. They shall remain nameless.

I'll fess up. I've missed three so far and am well on my way to a perfect score as the Ravens lead the Dolphins 17-3 in the 4th with 10:53 to go. With my car being scraped by a hit and run driver while parked, and a long week coming up at work, this rates as one heck of a Sunday the thirteenth. On the bright side Jay Fiedler is looking really sexy as he's being intercepted right now.

Alright George, let's talk about needing a boyfriend.
The total number of points each team could have earned their pickers by winning gives us a measure of the amount of faith we had in them that is, I think, more meaningful than simple number of picks.

Bucs 38 - highest rated road team, but not the one road team to win.
Eagles 51

Raiders 72 - overwhelming favorite. Good thing for all of us they won.
Jets 11 - least respected team.

Packers 63 - another large margin of expectations. Oddly enough the two most highly rated teams won, what a coincidence.
49ers 17

Dolphins 47 - biggest disappointment. Alot of us lost big on this.
Ravens 21 - only underdog to win, and only road team to do so. Not even the highest valued road team.
(Edited for idiocy and spelling)

I actually wont be last this week got an 8, only missed Bucs, which I had 2 points on.
meric
I may be last, only got 3 points off the Raiders.

Although George_vf has attempted to "protect the identity" of those prognosticators who were "less than successful" this weekend, I will "come clean" (before the results become "public") and let Meric know that is certainly NOT last with 3 points....I will freely admit that I have a grand total of ZERO points ( ) and it was not even the impersonator gamecocks who made those selections - it was indeed me and me alone....heck, I could have had my 8 month old nephew pick these four playoff games out of a hat and had more success than I did this weekend ....oh well, the Jets and Niners had their chances to pull off road upsets but I had my doubts about Tampa and Miami due to the inconsistency of Brad Johnson and Jay Fiedler but went against my better judgement.

Let the public thrashing begin -- go ahead, I can take it....just be a LITTLE gentle, OK. ....and I'll rebound next week for certain....glad I wasn't in Vegas, that's for sure.
meric
Thanks gamecock for assuring me I'm not on the bottom but a 3 point separation doesn't necessarily put more hair on my chest.
Speaking of next weeks games, any thoughts; Philly/Chicago. Rams/Pack. Steelers/Ravens. New England and Oakland: My picks; Philly, Rams, Steelers and the Raiders with an upset. If the Eagles and McNabb play like they did this weekend, the Eagles are going to St. Louis. Raiders will be going to Pittsburgh.
gamecock
The only "lock" I see next week is the Rams at home over the Pack....now if they were playing at Green Bay it might be a different story but I can't see the Packers scoring enough points to keep up with Kurt Warner and that high-powered offense in St. Louis....then again, based upon my results of this weekend, you might not want to base your wagers upon my opinions.
meric
I agree, the Packers will have their hands full with the Rams offense. Major upset if the Pack pulls that game out. Definitely, would love to see Brett Favre work his magic and carry that mojo right on to the Super Bowl and win it all again. That's one game I hope to lose, will bet on the Rams but will be cheering for the Packers.
I keep thinking Brady with the Pats doesn't have playoff experience and will evidently get overwelmed, but neither did Warner a couple of years ago. Picking the Raiders over the Pats is more of wanting to continue watching Gruden on the sideline. No, it isn't one of those girlie things picking the team with the prettiest uniforms but how can you argue with that commerical "You have to see it and feel it, to believe it." I believe, I believe, now let me feel it? Damn the intensity of that man. His facial expressions alone keeps me glued to the screen, but that another post altogether, sorry. Seriously, the Raiders can take the Pats, if they play Raider football, like this weekend and prior to them loosing the previous three games at the end of the season. The same with Philly.
