17 year old Canadian student Mike Rowe is refusing to comply with Microsoft's demands that he give up the domain name to his web site, MikeRoweSoft.com, and was rightfully insulted that Bill Gates' company offered him a paltry $10 for the name....as Rowe said, "The $10 is pretty insulting for all the work I put into my Web site. That's why I asked for the $10,000 because I was mad at the low amount they offered"....I say kudos to this teen for having the courage to stand up to this corporate "giant" and fight for what is right.

Like he didn't know what would happen when he named his site MikeRoweSOFT.com? If he called it MikeRoweWebdesign or even MikeRoweSoftware, no one would care. But he wanted attention. Well, he got it!

I think Bill Gates should "buy" him out the way he "bought" out Homer Simpson's Internet business! Stupid little 17-year-old dweeb. Probably makes more money than me! Grrrrr....  wink

Maybe he should go by Michael Rowe and put out a book or CD titled The Boat Ashore. tongue.gif
