One type of crime I could never understand is an old geezer's obsession with a 6 or 7 or 8 year old girl or boy. Absolutely no crime is acceptable but at least there's a comprehension of why a grown man rapes a grown woman, why a person robs a bank, why a person embezzles money.

But one crime that has always baffled me is what this obsession an old geezer like John Evander Couey has with a child? What is it that makes an old man go into a bedroom of a home and grab a child and carry her into the night? I don't get it. What kinds of people are these? How can they rape a tiny girl? It makes no sense. These girls are not even fully developed yet. What the heck are these old geezers getting out of (excuse the verbiage) bangin' little 6, 7, 8 or 9 year old children? I will never ever understand this type of crime. :mad:

I don't understand how these guys are able to roam around and live in a neighborhood without somebody knowing it. Martha Stewart has to wear an ankle bracelet. How about a permanent ankle bracelet for these child molestors or some other sort of tracking device. These poor people didn't even know a child predator was living in their midst. Megan's Law, while a great attempt, falls far short of protecting children from these people.

He also had assistance from a few family members in his flee from Florida to Georgia. He even told a couple of these relatives what he'd done and they still helped him get out of town without notifying police. They'd better all have the book thrown at them as well. :mad:

They showed pictures of the family members who have been arrested on CNN earlier today. They looked like a Joe Dirt family reunion.

There is now speculation that he may have kept her in his trailer for up to two days and police are now investigating whether some of these scumbag relatives were also in the trailer at the time. Truly disgusting.
