Anyone hear of Nomar and Mia being engaged? Sounds kind of fishy to me. What do you guys think?

BOSTON -- It appears Nomar Garciaparra will soon relinquish his status as one of Boston's most famous bachelors. The Red Sox shortstop confirmed to the Boston Herald that he is engaged to professional soccer star Mia Hamm.


"It's true, we got engaged over Thanksgiving," Garciaparra told the Herald's Inside Track. "People want to know where and when we're getting married, but you know what, I don't even know those details. We're just happy right now and really enjoying our time together."

Congratulations to Nomar and Mia! My brother saw Mia in Atlanta and said she is more beautiful in person! Hard to believe! Imagine the athlete these 2 can produce!

The way you titled this, fenwayguy, made me think that I'd be reading about divorce proceedings soon. This is such a distortion of what is actually in the article.
