A story about the struggles of native Muslim Uighurs in the western Chinese region of Xinjiang (East Turkestan) led me to find out more about an unfamiliar part of the world.

It's chilly there today, but the hardy Uyghurs, Kazaks, Uzbeks, Kyrghyz, Tajiks and Tatars are always eager to turn out for a rousing game of oghlaq, or Lhasa Apso polo.

The object of the game is to carry the dead animal to the "goal area"

Why isn't PETA protesting this instead of whether KFC deepfries chickens in a humane manner or not? (by the way isn't that an oxymoron? to deepfry in a "humane" manner..... chickens....)
