Great story from Ft Lauderdale...

"Dismissing the case, Judge Lebow certified (the detective) as cute. 'I make that a finding. He's a very attractive man,' she said, according to a transcript."

That is too funny. Too bad it is a case of entrapment. I wonder if there is a pic of this guy somewhere. I want to see this drop dead gorgeous guy. smile.gif

"Blanco, 37, who described himself as a lonely gay man" = desperate man looking to party. smile.gif

From the newspaper article:
QUOTE
It's now clear that Nahum [the cop] and Blanco [the accused] had a very different understanding of the word \"party.\"

Nahum, who is straight, said the term is street talk for doing drugs. Blanco said that to him, it means having a good time or being sexually involved.
Discuss.

I understand that in chat rooms, "into partying" refers to drug use. So you'd think the lonely gay man is really out of the loop, but he managed to find the drug dealer in the bathroom easily enough.

Well, the story says the detective asked for cocaine at least three times, & the defendant said he didn't have any. Then the detective went on to say "Come on, can you get me some?"

So regardless of whether he was a hottie or a troll, that sounds like entrapment to me.

What I don't understand is why the guy was arrested two weeks later and not on the spot?

And the bigger question is they exchanged phone numbers. So who called whom first? wink

well.. according to "The Rules"... The one entrapped should wait at least two days after the arrest to call the police officer for a date. biggrin.gif
