Got an extra 15 or 20 minutes to take a fun on-line test? Try
The Physical Attraction Test from match.com. It gauges your reaction to photos and diagrams of various facial types & features, body types, height, etc. They will email you a quick version of your results, with a link to very detailed results, comparing your likes/dislikes to others. You can take the test specifically for men attracted to men.
You don't have to register to take it, you just have to put in your email address so they can send you the results. Try it, it's fun!
My results boiled down to:
QUOTE
Some may call one of your types \"Pretty Boys,\" but all you know is that they're gorgeous... classic good looks with small noses, beautiful eyes, and full lips... clean shaven, have clear skin, and get good hair cuts. They're taking good care of themselves so they can be \"pretty\" just for you!
Another subgroup of men you picked can only be described as \"Hunks.\"...\"All-American\" look... very handsome, without being either \"pretty\" or overly \"rugged.\" ... very masculine and strong, while the \"inner face\" brings more delicate features like a small to medium nose, beautiful eyes, and full lips. It's a balance between the masculine and the feminine that make these guys so irresistible.
It said I like a stocky body type, same height as myself, muscular but may be prone to being overweight later in life.
It was pretty dead-on for most characteristics that I like, except for one - I love a nice goatee, and I picked a lot of the pictures of goateed men as desirable, but it said I prefer clean-shaven men.

fun and fascinating. this is what it said about me:
Very Selective: You are very selective, compared to most guys, in the types of men you find appealing. You're wowed by "movie star" good looks, and in general, appreciate men with "traditional" or "mainstream" appeal. You probably face a lot of competition going after the most popular guys. Let others fight over the "movie stars" and you'll find a more unique guy who can be your own personal "hunk." See the pie chart below to see how many men fall into picky or open categories.
and, surprisingly (since i'm often accused of being a "rice queen" and my boyfriend is vietnamese):
Your choices did not show a strong interest in Asian men. The majority of your interests were in other races.
You found 15% of the Asian men in this test physically attractive.
You found 10% of the Asian men in this test "date-able".
all in all the results were pretty accurate though.

Long and narrow \"rectangular\" faces
So-called \"Mesomorphs,\" with square chins and wide faces
Favorite Looks
A subgroup of men you picked can only be described as \"Hunks.\" They have a clean-cut, \"All-American\" look. They're very handsome, without being either \"pretty\" or overly \"rugged.\" Their face shape and jawline are typically very masculine and strong, while the \"inner face\" brings more delicate features like a small to medium nose, beautiful eyes, and full lips. It's a balance between the masculine and the feminine that make these guys so irresistible. In fact, these guys have been chased after all their lives, by 1 in 3 men (35%).
Many of the features you found attractive are common among men described as \"Mediterranean Hotties.\" Their olive complexions and dark hair make them hard to resist. You especially liked the handsome, yet warm and approachable looking men with these features. Men from Italian, Greek, or Continental Spanish descent are popular among over 40% of men.
That's pretty damn good! I'm impressed.

Wow! This is a cool test. I am impressed. This is how I rated... and it is so true!
Very Picky: It's official: You're "picky." The fact is you are drawn to the most handsome of the handsome. You know what you like in men and are more selective than most men your age. Your tastes seem instinctual. You'd make a great casting agent, because you have a good eye for men who have "star quality." In real life, your high standards may be an obstacle for you. It's hard to find a man with the strong features you like, who's also well-rounded in other ways. Still, you know the importance of a real physical "spark" in a relationship, and aren't willing (or able) to settle for less. The challenge is finding a man who really wows you physically, even if he's not the most handsome man in the room.

Still, they have a clean-cut "All-American" look and are handsome enough to shine on camera after the game as well! About 1 in 4 men (28%) found this "look" especially attractive.

Hey, this reminds me of something else I've been meaning to post here. If you go to
www.tolerance.org, they have several tests to measure your biases; for example do you judge people by their looks, body type, race, sexual orientation, religion, etc. They have a dozen or so of them. From the homepage, find the "Dig Deeper" section and click on "Explore Your Hidden Biases." It's addictive.
They are rapid-fire tests, requiring a quick keyboard response; for example it tests whether you have an automatic response to associate Arab-sounding names with "bad" or "good", or if you automatically associate pictures of different races with pictures of bad things or good things. It's very humbling.

Generally on target for me. I am "picky," attracted to "hunky, muscular" "pretty boys" or "boy next door" types, around my height with chest hair (but no back hair!). Glasses are OK, bald is OK on guys who have other sexy qualities.
Dead-on: that I don't like long hair and that I like guys older than me, especially guys in their early 40s. That's so true, the guys I've been seriously involved with have all been in their 40s.
Misfires: that I like clean-shaven guys, and guys with blue eyes. I *love* guys with beards & goatees, I think the hairy guys they had weren't the best examples. And I've never been too concerned about eye color.
This was fun.

So-called "Mesomorph" faces obviously appealed to you. These faces can be shaped like a square or a rectangle, but are most noticeable because of their strong square jawline. The chins are clearly prominent from the front and side, and have crisp angles defining the sides of the chin. No sunken chins for you! This is by far the most masculine face type. Often, you'll also find strong, manly noses and beefy lips with this face pattern as well. About 41% of other men especially prefer men with this face type.
They also called me "very picky" as well

Another of the "looks" that you consistently noticed has been described as "The Boy Next Door." He has an open face, with big eyes, and a big grin. He has a youthful or boyish quality that will follow him throughout his life. Typically this look is associated with light brown hair, a close shave, and blue or hazel eyes. I haven't taken the test, but reading your responses to taking the test and the results--it all seems just like horoscopes to me. Say a few vague things, throw in a few specifics, wrap it up with a closer and there you go. No harm done, but you all seem so gullible to be so fabulous.

Ah, it's just something fun to do. I think we already have a pretty good idea of what we're attracted to. The test seems scientific in the way it's conducted, however you're right about the results. It's a farily new test, and when you go through the detailed results, they ask you at every point if they got your results "right", "mostly right", or "wrong", and they repeatedly tell you that they are adding more information to the data base, particularly about asians and african-americans.
Maybe I should have started a different thread about the bias tests at tolerance.org, instead of letting it get buried in here. I really think you guys would find them interesting.

So, I took this test. I think the match.com real tests are this way, as they have a personality test that is pretty darn good. here is my physical type:

There's something about "Outdoorsmen" that also appeals to you. These guys have a tanned, weathered look, along with ruggedly handsome features. You don't need them to be "pretty" or even "very handsome," but you are drawn by the masculinity and free-spirit they convey. You also appeared to like a number of guys we refer to as \"Surfer Dudes.\" They have a natural \"look\" and way of presenting themselves that sets them apart from \"preppy\" or \"button down\" types. Open: You have a more open and accepting view of what makes a man handsome than a lot of other guys your age. In the test, you didn't pick the most "popular" men, but instead seemed to focus on your own personal tastes. This doesn't necessarily mean that looks are less important to you than to other men. You simply have a unique set of criteria and keep your eyes open for special qualities that make a man, who may seem ordinary to most, extraordinary to you.
You seem to like qualities often found in men some describe as "Bears." They tend to be bigger guys, with full roundish or oval faces. Most have beards or some kind of facial hair. Typically, you can catch some chest hair peeking from under their shirts. Their nice smiles and warm expressions make them very approachable and so huggable!
There's something about "Outdoorsmen" that also appeals to you. These guys have a tanned, weathered look, along with ruggedly handsome features. You don't need them to be "pretty" or even "very handsome," but you are drawn by the masculinity and free-spirit they convey. Interesting test! It seems like they have a limited group of photo models, but then they mix and match features to create composite models. Sometimes the difference is small (glasses/no glasses; beard/clean shaven) and sometimes they take features from several different people and create a whole new person.
Some of the results weren't entirely accurate, but this part was:

Say it again, sister!
This guy was determined to be my ideal man. Now I want to know: Where can I meet him? wink
Hey Canmark, that's MY ideal man, too. Well, they did warn me I'd face lots of competition for the men I'm attracted to. I'm very picky and apparently attracted to pretty boys and outdoorsman (surprised I didn't get hunks). I think my results may be skewed by the fact that one of the tests I didn't realize that the pictures were only going to be up temporarily, so I didn't pick any of the first group.
I find it hard to pick people from stills of their faces...I'm hugely affected by facial expression. I think they did better on features other than face construction as a result--they saw me as attracted to mesomorphs & big guys, chest hair, facial hair, a full head of wavy dark hair, and a big smile.
One thing that was amusing (but perhaps not wholly innacurate):
Your photo choices suggest a man over 35 is probably getting a little old for your tastes

I am on Match.Com but I have never taken that test. I'm looking for a personality type, not so much a body type. I felt if I took that test it might give people the wrong idea about what I am looking for.
They also have a personality test. I did take that. They have been sending me "suggestions" of people to contact based upon the results of the test. It has been fairly accurate so far, but I still haven't found Mr. Right.
Since everyone else seems to be hung up on looks maybe I should take the physical attraction test and see what happens.

I've had very good luck with it. Most of the guys on Match.com seem to be seriously interested in dating and relationships. If you are looking for a guy that you won't find hanging around a bar its a great place to start. I've been on it for about 5 months.
