It's 22 below zero!! Okay, open up your freezer and stick your head in it. It's warmer in there than here.
Lucky, lucky me.

I don't understand this...if you live in places like Montana or Michigan or New England...it's going to be very cold and very snowy in January! What is the big deal...do we have nothing to talk about other than the weather? What a sorry bunch of guys! It's not like we can change it or anything. I cannot even believe I am posting on this thread.

MIB, you have been recused from this thread for excessive bitterness. Green is not your color (i thought the robes were black, anyway.)
Oh, and 80 degrees today with a cool breeze if you're interested . . .
Allen, sounds like you need a trip to the islands.

See what happens when you own a home...my taxes will be put to use buying a dresser for the guest room and hopefully a new roof.
Okay I might buy a toy (DVD Recorder) or two, but no tropical vacation.

Okay ... this weekend I had a great time playing w/ my friend who's now becoming something more. However, the weather was a different story. We received in the Twin Cities about a foot of snow. Six more inches are expected today and then blowing snow. I love this weather.
The funny thing is, we haven't had this type of weather in years! The past three years have been completely mild. This completely came by surprise!

I'm so disappointed. A few days ago, they were forecasting as much as 13 inches of snow here. As of today we've received one. One measly inch. I feel cheated.
At least there's hope; another system is supposed to pass through in a couple of days.
I love snow, if you can't tell.

It rained here today in Los Angeles. I couldn't go swimming in the outdoor West Hollywood pool. f**king weather.
It'll stop tomorrow, it'll be glorious out tomorrow. Don't any of you move here though.

Yes it will be a glorious sunny day again, one that makes me want to move to LA, back to the brown skies, the lovely smell of smog drifting across the landscape, millions of people sitting in their cars on their daily 3 hour commute, millions of people with fake breast, chest, butts, plastic surgery for their noses, lips and so on. All with the hope of one day quitting that waiter job at the hip new French restraunt because they got that break out acting role in an Oscar nominated movie.

CnSea, just keep writing that stuff. If enough people believe it, they won't move here and the transients will leave and us residents will be really, really happy. Let everybody move to Seattle and overload the freeways, public transit, drive housing prices through the roof, cause Mt. Hood to be invisible through the brown ring of smog around the city, take up all the jobs that are left after Boeing left etc. Or move to Oregon or Montana or other godforsaken places like that. I'd be ecstatic if all the non-Californians left here.

D'oh! I realized my geographical mountain area screwup as I was lying in bed last night. I was too tired to get up and change it; I was hoping, in vain as it turns out, that I could correct it before it was commented on. Damn!
The smog here is wildly overrated. It's gotten a lot better in the last 20 years. Today, because it rained yesterday, it will be wiped clean and not a problem. I may not be able to see Mt. Hood or Mt. Shasta, but just seeing the Verdugo Hills is fine with me! The traffic, on the other hand, has gotten worse. It's not only the freeways either; the surface streets can be a trial to traverse as well. Unfortunately, the car is too ingrained here and public transportation suffers as a result.
Off to go swimming at the outdoor WeHo pool in a few hours.

JA,
When did Oregon become a godforsaken place???
Just because we can still see our mountain ranges, doesn't mean you can trash us.
Besides your peeps have done enough damage to the traffic situation in Bend, OR.
We really don't want any more Cali people here. Y'all don't know how to drive in the rain. wink

FINALLY! I can add something to the most worthless thread of the year...
It is sleeting here in Austin this morning and we are under a winter weather advisory until 11 a.m. 34 degrees and sleet brings on a weather advisory...yes, I know the Yankees on here are laughing. I'm expecting schools to start closing. Several employees called in to say the weather is too bad to drive in. By the way, hell has frozen over.
