Ricky Williams is scheduled to meet with NFL officials as he tried to overturn a drug suspension that could keep him from playing this coming season.
What do you think the chances are he brings brownies to the meeting?

What are you smoking? Leave Ricki the F alone--its not as if Pot is a performance enhancing drug. If he's still a pot smoker it amazing he remembers to show up to pratice!

No one has said pot is a performance enhancing drug, but Williams did violate the NFL's drug policy (as well as caused problems for the Dolphis when he up & retired at the last minute, leaving his team in the lurch for a year) and thus the appeal process. In truth, I'd question the man's intelligence: anyone who gets caught by any sports' drug tests isn't too bright.

If brains were requisite for playing in the NFL it would be a mighty different league. I admit rules are rules....but there are planty of players who have bent them or been slapped on the wrist. YOu can beat up your wife and play but smoke a joint and you are out here.
And Yes, Ricki acted like a jerk and left us hanging--but he's still the better than what we had...I think Sabin has done a good job but we have a long way to go....

The NFL has suspended Ricky Williams for one year for his most recent violation of the league's drug policy.
When he came back from his year away, I posted here that I wondered how the league would deal with some of his statements during that sabbatical that he had used masking agents to beat previous drug tests. I wish someone would explain how he got caught this time.

Why does he keep trying to get back into the NFL anyway? He clearly doesn't care. Is it just a charade to keep fooling someone into giving him money now and then?
