The problem is that there is no AM or FM station near where you will be. You might be able to get a satellite downlink or hear a shortwave broadcast from Diego Garcia. I don't think games are carried on the shortwave. Even if they are, the time zone difference will be overwhelming. MNF, which starts at 8 p.m EST on the East Coast of the US, will start at 5 a.m. in the Afghanistan time zone, as Afghanistan is four hours ahead of "UTC," or universal coordinated time, the time at Greenwich, England.

Just an update...
AZ said things are going well (after a two-day trip to get there) and he wanted me to pass along his greetings to you all from Afghanistan.

I just sent him an email on Tuesday to wish him well!

If you get an e-mail from him, give him my best, and if he meets any Canuks over there, tell him that he should try a real beer. There are a couple of thousand Canuks over there, and trust me, we don't go ANYWHERE without Labatt's Blue or Molson Canadian.
