There is a new virus with the word "Hi" in the subject line and an attachment. Delete any such messages and don't open the attachment. I've already received one.

Great. That's how I mark my emails.
Okay, this vrius hit my old job a few years ago. That sucked and all of our work is done on computer and then doing it on paper was difficult.

The virus that infected us here where I work got through our firewall, and they are still cleaning it up.
It appears to use peoples address book to send out copies of itself, so be aware that it might come from co-workers. The clue, is that the attachement is an executable file, (.exe), and normally has the phrase test-email in the body.
If you open the executable, you will need to wait for a patch from Norton or Macafee,. Although by now it might be there.
But if you have opened it, disconnect from the internet, as it will start sending out emails using your address book.

According to CNET, the new virus are more prone to hit home computers that don't have firewalls.
If you want to check to see if you might have it, do a "search file" for the following... "bbeagle.exe" ... and then delete it if you see it on your hard drive.

There is a new virus going around where the subject line says that your mail was undeliverable. Do not open any attachments.

Heh. and a lot of people using Lotus Notes.
there was a funny article in the Post yesterday saying how half of the problems would be avoided if users would just listen to their tech support people. Oh how true that is.

Okay, now that I have picked myself up off the floor...."users would just listen to their tech support people". Now that's funny.

Seriously though, people, we should all know by now not to open attachments from an address you don't recognize or that you're not expecting. Otherwise, you're just asking for trouble.
