I've looked at the Royal Solaris and Presidente Intercontinental resorts so far as possibilities. Looking for a change, since I've been to Playa del Carmen the past 3 years.

Has anybody out there been to Cabo before? If so, any good stories to tell? Any bad ones I should know before booking?

I have been many times. The main question to ask I have is do you like the touristy /party crowd? if so you will want to stay near cabo. If you like the quiet laid back sort of vacation you may want to find a place more toward the San Jose del Cabo or one of the resorts in between San Jose and Cabo.

Cabo has become very commercialized and Americanized. If I am going to Mexico on the Pacific side I generally prefer PVR (Puerto Vallarta) it is the most gay friendly of all of the Mexican resort towns.
