On Friday T.O. gets to face Ray Lewis in his backyard. I'm not expecting much of this matchup, but I'm quite certain TO will stay out of the middle just to make sure he doesn't get injured. The two teams face off on Halloween during the regular seasona and if there are going to be any fireworks between these 2 teams it will happen then. But if TO does get hurt I'll be laughing my ass off (which is a lot of laughing), unless of course it's a serious injury.

And the Seahawks did a number on Green Bay, 21-3. Way to go Hawks!!! biggrin.gif

This is NOT based on last night's preseason performance (and perhaps this question belongs in another thread) but am I the only one who thinks that Brett Favre is well past his prime and is due to have a VERY disappointing season?....along with the entire Green Bay team and their highly overrated head coach IMHO (sorry, DCBucky tongue.gif ).

I was as impressed as anyone by Favre's Monday Night performance last season following the death of his father (even if it was against a weak Oakland defense) but the fact that the national media constantly annoints this guy as "the greatest quarterback ever" is a bit MUCH, me thinks....if any other QB had thrown SIX interceptions in a championship playoff game we would STILL never be hearing the end of it.

OK, time for me to get off my soapbox ohmy.gif ....I still think Favre is a first-ballot Hall of Famer but no longer deserves to be mentioned among the elite QB's in the NFL (contrary to what several of the talking head "experts" on ESPN would have us believe)....time will tell if I'm doing Brett an injustice or not when the real games get underway on Sept. 12th.

Gamecock..I'm here to "second" that thought...Favre has already said that his thumb is "still" not right and never will be; all it will need is one good smack to jack him up by week 4....then what?? TIM COUCH!!?? argh!
Like Elway, I think that Brett would serve himself best if he retires SOON, and avoid having disappointing and frustrating performances that will cause the younger fans to wonder why he's such a big deal....He's had an amazing career and even though I'm NOT a Favre fan, I want to rememeber THOSE games and not these upcoming sub-par ones....(see also..."Michael Jordan".... wink ...)

Yeah, Ray "murder suspect" Lewis and Jamal "drugs-r-us" Lewis, are examples of leadership on a team. They have such high moral standards and character.

By the way, Bill-ick is a little bitch if he doesnt shut his yip-yap. What type of coach supports such things as to almost say they will try to hurt TO. Good job. Maybe he should concentrate on keeping his players out of the slammer?

PhillyFan...when they add "Neon Deon" to this socially-challenged group, it should be a real nightmare of a team.... eek!

Really PF and NFL, did AL Davis buy this team when I wasn't looking. The Ravens are becoming Raiders East.

Raise your hand if you are looking forward to seeing Eli Manning get pasted by the Carolina Front Four tonight! *hand raised*

BAM! Welcome to the NFL, son.

You won't be saying that when you are forced to draft him next week ML. eek! biggrin.gif

If I draft Eli, it is because the half of the NFL QB's died in a fiery taco stand explosion.

First play from scrimmage: McNabb to TO, 81-yard touchdown! biggrin.gif

Correll Buckhalter carted off the field.
Joe in Philly
Buckhalter is probably out for the season. Torn patella tendon. That would be two full missed seasons out of three.

I dunno what you're basing this on -- all indications are that Favre is back and he's as healthy and motivated as ever -- he's protected by one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, has some great receivers (Driver, Ferguson, Chatman) and can rely on a terrific running game (Green, Davenport, Henderson).

Favre's gonna have a great year!

btw -- we'll see what happens tonight but with Couch and Nall performing poorly thus far, former Terp Scott McBrien may beat both out on the QB roster, since he's done surprising well.
