from Bloomberg News:
Owings Mills, Maryland, March 4 (Bloomberg) - Quarterback Elvis Grbac, who was released by the Baltimore Ravens last week, decided to retire after turning down an offer from the Cincinnati Bengals, his agent said.
Grbac, 31, wants to spend more time with his family, agent Jim Steiner said.
‘‘He has three kids, and he said he didn’t want to make another move,’’ Steiner said.
I say he comes back next season; as much as I dog him he's can be effective with the right team.

After 20 plus years of getting chased and beaten down by guys twice his weight, I wouldn't be surprised if he did retire. That Baltimore team used him as a scape goat. Sure he had numerous ill-advised throws but that team didn't have a running game. Good for him.

I doubt that he'll come back; can't imagine he wants to have to prove himself & try to earn a position anymore. For any athlete, that constant pressure to prove one's ability must be draining. With Grbac, this last season (and especially the last couple of weeks) must have been excruciating.
