I do love football, even bad football.

I don't miss the league, but I do miss the bizzarre camera angles. I know I am extra alone on this, but I really dug that low angle shot that made you feel like you were down on the field.

I love football too, but thats the reason why I hated the XFL. It made a joke out of a REAL sport by associating it with those Hulk Hogan and Macho Man wrestling people. The names of the teams were idiotic also, Maniax, Demons and Hitmen. What were they gonna name the next team, The Ax Murderers? And a player named "he hate me", that just speaks for itself. I'm glad its gone, CFL is okay to watch in summer. Whatever happened to that wrestler that used to dress up like Elvis and hit people over the head with his guitar?

I gave it a fair shake. I watched the first week and was one of the few who came back for week 2. I was gone by halftime. And frankly anytime Vince McMahon takes a hit, its okay by me!

As much as I love football, 2 quarters was all I could do. I never went back for more.

Sorry, PCC, I think you might be alone here. I felt kinda pathetic when I tuned into the XFL ("Oh my God, am I that much of a football junkie?"). Watching the first game could be explained away by curiosity factor. Watching a second game, well, I was at a buddy's house, and we just sat around cracking jokes and making fun of it. In the middle of the third game, I finally snapped to my senses, "Cripes! You are a total loser if you keep watching this!!", and never watched again.

No, I can't say I miss it one bit. The XFL'S nutty sideshows were just a cover for the very obvious lack of quality on the field. The whole thing felt like a sorry parody. When I was a kid, I did enjoy the old USFL'S Oakland Invaders, though. I wouldn't mind seeing something like that coming back.

Oh, I used to looooooove the USFL. Frankly, not a rainy spring Sunday goes by where I don't think about the USFL. Well not really... but I still miss it.
