I've never been a big fan of Brian Griese, but there is something comforting about seeing a Miami Dolphin uniform with Griese on the back. Apparently Brian is deciding on the Dolphins or the Cowboys. His dad, Bob Griese, was my first football hero in the 70's when I was in that single digit age. I think his addition could inject some excitement to Dolphin fans, which is something we haven't had since Dan "the Man" Marino was in his prime.

Not sure if its a ploy to try and get more money out of the Dolphins, but ESPN is reporting that the Bears and Packers are courting Griese.

Kind of curious as the Bears went out and signed Kordell Stewart and the Packers drafted Rex Grossman and lured Eric Crouch out of "retirement".


Updated to note that ESPN.com is now reporting that Griese and the Dolphins have reached a 2 year deal.
