Totally frivolous question (just to see if this works):
Which do you think looks better on this athlete?
Click on the link when you vote to see the athletes picture for that option.

So most seem to prefer the "clean cut" look. The athlete is Peter Burgoyne of the Australian Football League's Adelaide Power team.
He's partly Aboriginal so the "Long Hair" is actually what we used to call a "natural" back in the day. There are other names for it now, which I haven't kept up with.
In the "Short Hair" photo he is using something to make his hair look slick. So the link works!?

I like short hair. I like long hair up to about 20cm. I like soft short hair to caress on the skull. I like longer hair to run my fingers through as I adore a pretty face on an athletic body.
As an athlete, really (snicker), I am told I look really good after I cut my hair short by straight men. It is kind of creepy when it is your boss. It is kind of erotic when it is a little burly straight guy asking you how much you can bench-press and that you'd look really good with a goatee like him. However, many women ask me why I cut off those lovely wavy curls. A male lover told me I looked so much better with short hair. My hair had only been a few centimeters longer previously. Most gay guys are interested in short hair elsewhere. They definitely notice the shaved arms and legs

Bordering on too much information, I just voted for the short hair as opposed to really long hair.
Your scars are more visible with shaved limbs. They are rights of passage and certification of the learned curve when it comes to extreme sports. You are accredited in pushing the envelop with some telling paper cuts

I like short hair especially clippered on the sides. I see a lot of younger guys are trying the shaggy 70-s look. I know its NEW to them so have a try at it. BUT I'll tell you someday in 10 yrs or so they will look at pictures of themselves and say: WHAT was I thinking????!!

This was a tough one. The guy would be hot with no hair, long hair, or short hair. I ended up voting for the long hair...something so exotic about that flowing hair. I myself had very short clippered hair, but I decided to grow it out a bit. Still short on the sides, but a little length and body on top. (ohh, I said body on top...yum!) I also started a regular affair with Miss Clairole once I grew it out...wow, had I become grey! The straight and gay guys I work with liked it shorter, the straight and lesbian women I work with like it longer. The ladies claim I look like a little boy now. It almost makes me want to shave it all off! I'm just glad I have a full head of wavy hair...it sure beats the alternative, no matter what color my hair may be.

Shoot me down, MB! Here I thought you were a blond Dutch boy from Highland who used "Summer Blonde" every time you spread out the blanket! Just surrender and make the move to Jhirmack Silver or Clairol Shimmer Lights, which both do a great job on grey; I get compliments on it ("distinguished") all the time!
I voted for the short hair, but he's a looker either way, and even though I'm usually partial to long hair as a leftover from my misspent '60s youth.

To me he looks somewhat younger with his hair cut short and hotter/older with it long. So I vote long hair

Eventhough I am not a "guys-with-long-hair" fan.

Just starting to get there at 49 and I'm not touching 'em. I like the look of grey.
I guess I like a look that's non-traditional for the person: when a guy who normally wears it long suddenly gets a jarhead buzzcut, or a guy who normally is clean cut grows a heavy shadow or short beard and shaggy hair.
That's why I guess I like Burgoyne with the long hair. He normally keeps it shorter and slick. Longer is a turn-on for me in his case. He looks wilder, less inhibited, almost a little dangerous. I think I'm getting bit excited here...

Totally depends on the guy. I voted for the short hair here but I LOVE David Carr with the longer hair.

I really like my gray hair. I finally stopped getting carded all the time for everything. I have arrived. I no longer look like jail bait
Gray hair and a nice cut is dead sexy, bitch magnetism.

Do you shave your back? Hope not. That way, I'll have nothing to hang onto.

Heck, yeah! I notice those things...and I do it, too...but in more places than just the arms. As for the legs, I tend to keep the blonde leg hair trimmed very short.

Yep. Johnny's only guy I can say that looks hot with long hair.
Wouldn't trade Jason Varitek for him though. Nope

Lksimcoe, I usually leave the hair on my chest. Will that prevent household accidents due to slippage? Should I get a safety harness or handcuffs?

Erik, I'd invest in both. Like health insurance, it's better to have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it.

Could it be that the guy is just handsome period? Hot?
I was out on the trail. A cutie my size was trying to hook up with me. I had longer hair. But I do not think hair was the deciding factor for this guy. I told my bi-friend at work about it. She said, from knowing her gay male friends, the guy wanted to do me on the spot. But then I had really nice longer wavy hair and went into a coffee house. I did not know it was a lecherous den of faggots, really. I was wearing street clothes, warehouse casual with some flair perhaps. I had to wait to get a coffee and muffin cuz the counter guy was picking up this male customer. While I was waiting I hear this voice behind say, "Oh look at him. That bitch is just tragic". I turned around and saw a sick looking, shaved-head queer contorting his face a bit. Wow that thing is calling someone else tragic. It is almost enough to make me self-loathing.
Anecdotes aside, I think it is just how you work it and how lonely the looker is.
