The Raiders would seem to be officially dead. They lost to the freakin' Lions 23-13. I know this team is old, but it seems like they've aged in dog years since going to the Super Bowl last year rather than human years. Rick Mirer was QBing the Silver and Black!
Colts took care of Miami 23-17. Ravens beat Jags 24-17, so Bengals will have to wait at least one more week to move itno first place.
Cyd's Texans got a big win today as they beat the Panthers 14-10. Bucs had a chance to inch closer to first place Carolina, but Saints kicked FG with :08 to go to beat Bucs 17-14.
Jets and Giants tied at 28. Overtime!

Giants won 31-28. Chad Pennington played real well today, and it's a shame they didn't have him all season long--this loss makes it 2-6.

Thnak you New Orleans. I was getting 8 points and I didn't even need them. And there were those that questioned my knowledge about Tampa Bay. Shame on you!
The question of the day is for you Ram's fans:
What the?

Other questions are: Who is Tim Rattay and who are the real Rams and 49ers? What happened to the Rams offense? The 49ers are an enigma, their backup QB can't be that much better than Garcia or can he?

The 49ers winning with such ease over the Rams is just more proof (as if we needed any more) that this entire league is a morass of mediocrity. More than half the teams, 17 of 32, have records ranging from 5-3 to 3-5. And even some of the teams with 6 wins aren't overly impressive.

It was messy, but how 'bout them Cowboys? We will meet the Redskins again on Dec 14. Always kinda scary to play them in Wash...but less so without the intimidating fans at old RFK.

cowgirl fans...
As POORLY as the eagles have played this year, guess what? Yes, one game back... watch out.
Oh, why on earth would anyone be concerned with paying the deadskins? home, away, in the park, or the moon... i dont think it would matter. When the hell is that team ever going play without being out of control?

Phillyfan, that has to be one of the most outrageous! ... no, that's not it.
Ludicrous!...no, that's not it.
Completely off-base!...no, that's not it.
Oh my God - right on the money! comments about that pathetic game (hell is freezing over - I am agreeing with Phillyfan)
I do not understand how a team could have 4(5?) turnovers handed to them in one game and score 6 points off them!? It's just sad, although it wouldn't have worked out that way if the 'skins had an offensive line that actually, I don't know, protected the quarterback - sheesh!

Listen, i kept my eye on this game while i was watching the egg-les game. It's called playing max protection. It's called running the ball.
You go out and get coles send him and the other WR out... if they are worth the big bucks, they get open.
The skins could have a kick ass D, but i mean... do they have to overshoot every play? Mr Penn St LB plays out of control... hell, they all play out of control.. over persue..
Spurrier wont adjust for shit. He's not dedicated to the details. In the NFL that is how you win games... not like college where you were playing duke.
I saw a ton of plays where they got pressure on the dallas qb, but they overshot the play or missed the tackle... that's poor coaching at the end of the day.
Lil danny boy's purse is crying right now.

The Redskins will never do anything as long as Daniel Snyder is running the team like I run my fantasy football team.
Would not be surprised to see the Ole Ball Coach jump ship given Snyder's recent moves (bringing on coaches and a Raider ex-con) which really undermine a coaches effectiveness.
Snyder has a ton of money, but zero football knowledge and has done more to hurt the team than help the team by meddling in the football side of things. He should let "football" people run the football operation and simply just sign checks. But his ego is too large. And ultimately that will keep the Redskins from being serious football contenders in the NFC East.

This has been an ugly week pick wise. I only managed to get 8 picks correct my worst showing to date. It just goes to show that either this league is full of parity (read mediocre) or the old adage of any given day is truer than ever.

Who are all the Bronco fans pointing at right now?
Well, it's their head coach, Mike Shanahan, who deserves the majority of blame for Monday Night's loss to the Pats (aside from the credit due the Pats, of course). They had the game virtually in the bag and he has his third string QB throw the ball instead of handing the ball to the strength of the team...
The Patriots are for real and are a force to be dealt with - They simply do not give up. Belichick is hands down the Coach of the Year at this point.

Denver DID stand a chance but as Coyote said, freakin' Shanahan threw the ball instead of going with his money maker, Portis. DAMNIT!

The Patriots won because of Tom Brady's SEXINESS!
Ummmm...okay...
The Patriots won because of the aforementioned third-down pass, but also because they smartly gave up the safety so they didn't have to punt from the end zone. That helped set up everything else.

I love Tom Brady...but only because his 21 Fantasy Football points propelled me from an almost certain loss to a last minute come from behind Victory in OFFLII!
As for the real league, I just can't get a handle on the Seahawks. How good are they? Everybody is saying "well who have they played?", bottom line is, they have won six games and they don't control the scheduling, so a win's a win. As long as they keep winning the games they are supposed to be winning, then they should be in great shape come season's end. Too bad they blew the Cincy game. It's been many years since the city has been excited over the Seahawks so I'm just enjoying the ride. Just get to the playoffs, hpefully get home field advantages, then anything can happen!

They're good, and should win the division. No team has control over their schedule, so I would ignore that "Who have they played crap" that people throw out there all the time, if you are hearing that. The fact is that each team in the division plays the exact same schedule as the others in the division except for TWO games. And they're winning while traditionally traveling more miles than any other team out there, a huge hurdle they have to overcome every year. Having back to back road games only once a year has got to help though.
Congrats to the fans in the Northwest

Like I said in the polls...I REALLY paid for dissing the patriots last week...and Brady probably single handedly knocked me from playoffs in FF2!
Congrats! grrrr
