Nice how the refs tried to gift wrap a win for Pittsburgh but sweet justice prevails and New England pulls off the win ANYWAY!!!! What a questionable pass interference call on Chad Scott! The better team won...period. Big Ben wasn't all that impressive and again the Patriots, banged and bruised find a way to win. Great win for New England who were not about to lose 2 straight.

So far this weekend there were not as many surprises as last weekend. I am still trying to figure out who the Panthers really are. They beat New England and lose to New Orleans and Miami go figure.

Dallas eeked out a win against the Niners. Not pretty, and Parcells would have gone ballistic if his boys lost.

The Vikes finally won a must win game against a road weary road Saints team. Culpepper looked decent with 3 TDs and no picks. Rememeber 8-8 could win the NFC North.

Finally Brady and Vineteri are still clutch when it counts even with all the changes that went down since last year.

Best 0-3 team? Oakland.

The best 0-3 team is still 0-3. And in the AFC, that's a death sentence.

The Patriots impressed me by hanging in there.

Nice game by the Vikings. They controlled the game against a weary Saints team. The only time I was concerned was when it seemed like they were ready to run the clock out at the start of the 2nd half.

Hopefully they can put together a nice game and win in Atlanta and then on to the bye week where their banged up players can get some more rest and rehab.

Other thoughts on Week 3...

Miami over Carolina? Will Miami return to the September wins and December losses, or can Saban stop that?

Indy's offense will get going on next week at Tennessee in a division rivalry game.

Cincy is still looking good and are a legit 3-0 team, meanwhile the Bucs are a fraud and will crash and burn after Week 9 or 10 when Cadillac hits the rookie wall.

Oakland is the best 0-3 team and through the toughest part of their schedule. They get 3 straight home games now with a bye week in the middle.

Comparing the two teams and who they beat???? The Eagles have absolutely nothing to prove to anyone. They lost 3 guys from last years Superbowl team. They have nothing to prove to be considered the best team in the NFC.

Tampa scares me as much as the 4-skins 2-0 record. Why? Because when they actually have to play a GOOD team, all you have to do is stack the line and make griese beat you. He’s yet to prove (stints in Miami and Denver) that he can do it.

Tampa is also running a rookie RB 30+ times a game. In college you play 12 games a year, the NFL season is 16 games, plus the playoffs. At what time does he get tired? Run down? Get injured? Start to fumble?

Tampa also barely beat MN and GB when the other team handed them games by turning the ball over. Buffalo has proven they can’t beat anyone with the kid at QB this year. Tampa has simply beat 3 teams they should have/could have beaten. They are yet to prove they ARE an elite team. I see them as nothing more than a sub par 500 team relying too much on a rookie RB and no other options in their offense.

They are the cowboys of 2 years ago. I’d call them the cowboys of this year, but the pokes QB can complete a few passes when it counts.

Just to summarize:

4-skins 2-0: complete frauds.
Yucks: Frauds who might finish 500
Indy 3-0: will be for not if they lose to the Brady’s.
Dallas: Frauds
Gints: benefited from playing at home, Manning is a cry baby bitch.

Oh yeah, teams should take their shots at the Eagles now because the team is beat up. Once they get people back and healthy. None of the teams above scare me in the slightest. They are Frauds.

I just saw on Sportscenter that during the 4th quarter of the PITT-NE game, the clock operator added almost a full minute of extra time to the clock after a penalty had been called on the field. Hard to believe nobody (refs, coaches, announcers) noticed this. It proved to be especially crucial given the way the Pats won.

As if the Steelers needed anymore excuses for their loss comes the story that someone screwed up in the beginning of the 4th quarter and added 52 extra seconds on the clock. I can't believe NO ONE picked up on it. It does suck but oh well.

I agree. The defense is still a work in progress but are making strides. Unlike another 0 and 3 team (cough..Packers), I think the Raiders have the players to turn this around. I gotta give PF some props! He has changed his 5-11 Buc prediction to possibly .500. Way to recognize! I had the Bucs at 1-2 at this point, so hey I am a happy camper. Like Chucky or hate him, you have to admit he is using what he has to work with. He overworked Cadillac to get him that record this week. If they pull away from the Lions this week, I see Pittman carrying more of the load. This Defense is FOR REAL! Hovan at league minimum, has come in and made a big difference. I met him at starbucks the other morning, great guy and LOVES it here he says. I am still not sold on Bolden, as teams like Carolina might take advantage of his soft coverage. GO BUCS!
