I went several times as a kid (I'm old enough to remember Eastern Airlines' "If You Had Wings" ride, which I loved) but haven't been in a while. Going back this November, though, for Thanksgiving. I'm totally bummed that apparently "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" is no longer, used to love it.

I loved the "If You Had Wings" ride too. I believe Mr. Toad was replaced by Winnie the Pooh, which is charming as well.

My partner and I went 9 years ago, for a full week, and it was one of the best vacations of my life. We took a Disney shuttle from the airport to our hotel - the Beach Club Resort - and didn't leave Disney property the whole time we were there. We had week long "passports" to everything. We could walk out a side door of the hotel and right into the back entrance of Epcot. We could take a water taxi to Disney/MGM Studios, and a bus or monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Animal Kingdom was under construction at the time. We spent several evenings at Pleasure Island which was a lot of fun. So, we had plenty of time and see and do just about everything, and still had time to relax and enjoy the water-park-like pools at the hotel.

We went the week before Christmas, which they said is their slowest week of the year. We never had to wait in very long lines. I think we waited 45 minutes for the Tower of Terror and Space Mountain, and maybe 15-30 minutes for most other rides. We paid extra for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom, and got to ride everything with NO lines, and we attended a dinner show with all the Disney characters in Christmas-themed productions.

Fun, fun, fun!

Love Disney World and Disneyland. The first time I went to EPCOT, I was gobsmacked, but over time, that has worn off, but the traditional rides remain a lot of fun. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is my all-time favorite ride and was saddened when it closed. I have discovered that referring to a questionable car ride as Mr. Toad's Wild Ride or Mr. Toad's Adventure is one way of determining ages. Those about my age get the reference immediately while those in the up-and-coming generation offer blank looks.

I've never been to Disney World, but I have been to Disneyland many times. Favorite things at Disneyland include: The Tiki Room, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, the Matterhorn(sp?), Bear Country USA, and the shooting gallery in either Frontier Land or Adventure land. New Orleans Square is cool to hang out in too. I just love the whole feel of the place.

When I was a kid I remember always watching the Main Street Electrical Parade(the original one with christmas lights), and the last time I went they had revamped it to use fiber optic lights, and that was cool too.

I have been to World twice, but this was back in the late '70's, and so much has changed there. To me, I recall best, Space Mountain. I think I went on that about 4-5 times alone. I also liked something like "Future World" too, and the talking Presidents. I want to go back someday in the worst way, to see it again, and take a drive down to see the Keys.

LOVE going to Disney! It's a blast during Gay Days, too. My partner is not as much of a fan as I am, so I usually have to arrange for my sister to fly down from Chicago to go with me....

I last went to Disney World in 1993 with a group of friends. We were on our way back from, of all places, Mardi Gras! Talk about contrast. From the debauchery of New Orleans to the debauchery of Disney World! That was probably the best vacation of my life!

I had lost a bet to one of my friends and the winner got to choose the most embarrassing ride for the loser to go on. He made me ride the Dumbo ride by myuself. So there I was on line asking complete strangers if I could take their kid on the ride. I'm sure they thought I was some kind of pedophile. Anyway I had to ride solo and my friends further tried to embarrass me by having the ride operator announce I was the oldest person riding without a child, or some such thing. Well this just motivated me to ham it up and really get into it. By the end, people were cheering and my friends were pissed that I ended up having a ball!

I'm having wonderful flashbacks to the Simpsons episode from a year or so ago where they went to "EFCOT" since Bart nominated Mrs. Krabappel for Teacher of the Year. Homer: "Awwwww, it's even boring to fly over!"
