I've been a good sharer since kindergarten, and there's plenty of my boy to go around, but --

HANDS OFF -- HE'S MINE!

Mike, if I win the sweepstakes I'll let you stand outside the restaurant and watch us eat. How's that?

Why do I have the feeling that this "contest" is going to be won by some 22 year old, buxom blond named Tiffany or Amber?

Mrs. Urlacher might have a big old problem with that one -- though probably no more of a problem then what goes through my brain on any given Sunday.

It's probably best that I not win this contest anyway. The time I did see him in person (at Gameworks), I was a stupid freak, and only managed to say something about being a big fan. Hot guys usually might turn me on but not make me stupid. But there's something about the combination of his looks and his talent that makes me weak in the knees.

I can see it now: MCMike wins the contest and we're all "Tell us! What happened! Is he hot? Any pings on the Gaydar?? TELL US!!"

MCMike: I spent the whole dinner going "Humananana, er, um, well......"

Us: Thanks MCMike.

Of course, if I was having dinner with Jim Thome or Adam Kennedy or Tim Couch or ..... I'd act like a deaf mute the whole time, a deaf mute who stares too much.

Good luck MCMike!

The contest mentions tickets for two both to Chicago and the subsequent game. I suspect this is gonna be a double date, Mr. and Mrs Urlacher and Mr. and Mr. MCMikeNamara

...which might be for the best. The other Mr. MCMikeNamara is far smoother than me. He could talk while I worked out how not to stammer.

Oh the agony -- I just found out some frustrating news, and I have to resurrect this post because I know you'll understand and sympathize.

This weekend I did not go to my five year college reunion during Homecoming. I took a lot of guff from my friends who were going, but I see most of the people I want to see from that time on a weekly basis already. Going down and seeing folks from my past I didn't want to see didn't appeal to me.

Big mistake.

Knox (my alma mater) was playing Lake Forest, and Mr. Brian Urlacher was spending his off week watching his little brother Casey play for Lake Forest. Knox is a pretty small place and the games are pretty intimate. It was easy for my friends to go up and meet the man himself. He was apparently pretty gracious and charming.

Again, the agony.

MMcN, Just goes to show you, "Be True To Your School!"

I flew back from SFO to ORD for Wabash Homecoming last weekend in Crawfordsville, IN. Always a great time - never miss it!
