What could be nicer than this?

Indians come back from 7-0 deficit and win 10-7 against the Stinky Stankees, the team with the $150 million dollar payroll. Yanks walk Thome to load the bases but Indians get a grand salami anyway. Keep in mind guys; except for Thome and Omar, this is basically a college team going against the team with the $200 million dollar payroll....! And to all those jerks at the game today with your Yankee gear on; there wasn't huge groups of them, but they're scattered around, and what they do is STAND and cheer stupid Yankee cheers; if one of those jerks stood in front of me he'd have 2 broken legs about now; the best part of it is they probably live in East Cleveland, but when the Tribe does something good and 40,000 cheer against these dorks it is just awesome !!!! Oh yeah, Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee yankees lose !!!!! start spreadin' the news

I watched the game with my brother-in-law, rabid Yankee fan #3, (behind my 2 brothers). The guy who slammed it is a hottie, and watching Joel's reaction was great- he's above the curve in looks, too. Looks like Matt Doherty, mens basketball coach at UNC Pete

I'm very pro tribe and I'm GLAD the Indians won - but after all its only 2 games ( well I guess in a season like we are having I guess that's SOMETHING to cheer about !)

How sweet it is! True, it's only a couple of games, but it seems Rivera isn't Mr. Automatic anymore. He's suddenly hittable. Could there finally be some cracks in the armor?

Folks back in the San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic must be really proud of Alfonso Soriano when he wins a game the way he did against LA.

He has surprisingly nice biceps too

Hmmm...the last time I looked the Yankees were STILL in first place

I love the posts of people who are thrilled when they beat the yanks in the regular season. Its funny you talk about the yanks payroll. If Cleve were like MN or KC or something I can understand because their payrolls are ridiculously low. But Cleve is always in the top of spending. In 2001 they were number 5 in terms of payroll with an avg of 3.065 to the yanks 3.54. Hardly a huge discrepancy. Fact is that Cleve just cant get it done, the team bites. If these small regular season victories help lift spirits, thats cool. Ill get mine lifted in the playoffs. yeah the yanks spend alot, but as long as the rules are the rules, thats the way it is.

Although I do like the jake..great stadium

Uh no not ALWAYS is Cleve near top of payroll, only after the Fans paid for a new stadium, and the Fans sold out all the games for 5 years straight, (a record no other club will ever break). And why not post the TOTAL team payrolls, and the Total money the Yankees get from their Cable contracts, and compare that to other teams ? Next you'll tell me it was just "Good Scouting" that the Yankees have won so many titles and "Luck" that they always have gotten the best players the last 80 years LOL !
