This game is on ABC, which means there will be no Monday Night Football on the final weekend.

Has NFL.com been working for all of you? It hasn't for me in the last few days. CBS.Sportsline.com hasn't been working either.

Works fine here PCC. What's the problem?

The pages won't display. And I've tried it on multiple computers on my network using different operating systems and with different browsers.

No other pages are giving me this problem.

I guess it must be a problem with my ISP, Comcast, by the way.

Why's that? Do they have a contract for a set number of games? Also, does anyone know about the status of MNF's plan to keep open the schedule near the end of the season to get more competitive / meaningful games, instead of the duds like last year?

I think they only get so many games, by moving it to the first thurs and dumping the last monday game, no team will have a short week for the playoffs.....

I'm not sure about the limitations in number of telecasts but, as PhillyFan stated, the public explanation I read earlier today was they wanted to eliminate the chance of a wild-card playoff team having to play their opening round postseason game on short rest, as the 49ers did this past season -- gee, I guess that explains the Niners first half debacle and near loss to the Giants on wild-card weekend....imagine if Tagliabue hadn't changed this rule we might actually be faced with a few more exciting finishes to postseason games? rolleyes.gif

I do think the Jets-Skins opener should be fantastic, though -- especially with Chad Pennington and Patrick Ramsey, two of the league's young, up and coming QB's (not to mention both of em are awfully cute) trying to lead their team to early season success.

Call me old fashioned but I so much more enjoy opening weekend beginning the Sunday before Labor Day and the playoff games on Saturday and Sunday's during the day. But, I know a lot of it's all about the mighty $.
