Joe in Philly
I'm starting a separate thread for this so we can keep it separate from the discussion of the big "Eagles at Redskins/PF and GJ's Pajama Party" hullaballoo. wink

We need to start preparing for this since tickets will go on sale soon. The exact date hasn't been announced but checking the thread from the Eagles-Vikings game last year, they went on sale June 17, 2004.

If you want a ticket, sign up here. Also, if we have more than four we will need at least one other person (besides myself) to call Ticketmaster on the day they go on sale (assuming the rules are the same as last year -- four tickets per game).

Tickets are $60.00 plus the evil Ticketmaster charges.

Well, I'm in. I need to talk to a couple other people who said they're interested in coming down from NYC too.
Joe in Philly
Checked their website--nothing about tickets yet.
Joe in Philly
I knew this was coming soon. Tickets for the exhibition and real games go on sale next week. Okay, people, wake up! wink

QUOTE
The Eagles announced that single-game tickets for all 10 home games of the 2005 season will go on sale Wednesday, June 22, at 10 a.m. (ET). Tickets can only be charged by phone through Ticketmaster at 215-336-2000. Tickets cannot be purchased in person at Lincoln Financial Field or at Ticketmaster outlets or online. Tickets are also not available for purchase through the Eagles ticket office.

In an effort to make tickets available to as many fans as possible, there is a limit of 4 tickets to any two regular season games.
Of course, we'll surely never get through to the local Ticketmaster number. We'll have to try various nationwide numbers as we did last year.

So we need a DEFINITE count of how many tickets we need. (I'm in for one, of course. wink ) If you're going, sign up NOW. And if we have more than 4, we'll need someone besides me to call Ticketmaster to get tickets.

(Also, for those who've expressed interest in going to any other games, such as Munson Man with his Giants, we'll need to set that up as well.)
phillyrunner
I will once again man the phones on Wednesday morning, with luck I will get through.
Joe in Philly
Okay, so I guess we're up to 3, counting Cyd (who may be bringing others)...
Joe in Philly
Giving this a bump--TIME IS RUNNING OUT. If you want a ticket sign up NOW.
Joe in Philly
Again, giving this a bump. Twenty-four hours from now the games will be sold out. If there aren't any more confirmations I'm going to order 4 tickets and that's it.
Cyd at Outsports
Joe, please give me about three hours to confirm with a couple people. I may have four more coming down.
Joe in Philly
Three hours is fine -- the tickets go on sale at 10 am tomorrow...and will be sold out within 10 minutes. wink
Cyd at Outsports
I need at least FOUR TICKETS at this point.

As long as they go on sale tomorrow morning, I'll let you know by THIS EVENING my final count. I'll keep you posted!

Cyd at Outsports
OK, Joe - I need five tix for the game smile.gif Looking forward to it!
Joe in Philly
That makes 7, unless someone else chimes in before 10 am...so since you can only order 4 at a time, I can get 4 and phillyrunner can get 4. If we get more than 8 we'll need someone else to call around the various Ticketmaster numbers.

Ummm, I need some info on these people, though. Specifically, what is their sexual orientation and more importantly, who are they rooting for? wink
Cyd at Outsports
All gay.

Brian: Raiders
Lawrence: Raiders
David: Eagles
Ryan: Eagles
Cyd: Undecided smile.gif

Are we all gonna end up in the same section?

You can only buy 4 tickets per game so the odds are pretty much against it. Last year 4 of our tickets were in an end zone and the other 4 were near the 30-yard line or so.

Since Munson Man expressed an interest in the Giants game, if I can get through (I'll try Miami first since that's the number that got us 4 tickets last year) I'll try to get tickets to that game as well. If we end up not using them I'll put them up on eBay or something.

Twenty minutes away -- time to warm up the finger to push the "redial" button! wink

Well, so much for that. sad.gif I had 8 different numbers and all had busy signals. I guess everyone knows about this by now. About 10 minutes in, I finally got through to Ticketmaster in Atlanta, but their automated system was really a pain and by the time I was able to manuever through it to select the game and the number of tickets all I could buy was ONE ticket -- so I gave up. By now they're sold out. I'm sure they were close to being sold out at the point I got through anyway.

I guess we'll have no game this year unless you all want to pay extra high prices through a ticket broker or StubHub.com or something, or unless you want to see an exhibition game -- tickets for those are always easy to get because the NFL exhibition season is such a joke.

EEEEEEEEEE-Bay

Xmas in AZ is lookin good!
phillyrunner
This year was alot tougher than last year getting tickets. I called Jacksonville and Erie, PA and got nothing. I blame WIP this year since they are now webcasting. They had a guy come on giving special tips for getting tickets. He said to call outside of the area and attempt to buy tickets to a different event before 10am and then stall till 10 am for the Eagles tickets.

I guess if I really want to go then StubHub or Ebay is it.
Joe in Philly
Since they only started webcasting yesterday I don't know if that had an effect. The last few years they've had people call in and tell them how they called different cities to get tickets. So I think more people caught on, and the demand certainly was never greater.

According to the Eagles the tickets were gone in about 15 minutes last year, and today they were sold out in "a little less than" 15 minutes (although there may be some single seats here and there).

Shouldn't you be saying Go Cowpokes, or don't you care about your hometown team.

From Peter King in SI.com:

I think, with or without Terrell Owens, there is still ridiculous Eagles fever in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the team has 60,000 people on its season-ticket waiting list. The capacity of Lincoln Financial Field is 68,400. Which tells me that a good number of the people on the waiting list will be dead before their name comes up.

A good number of people will be dead before the eaglets win a Super Bowl. Wait, we'll all be dead.

Peter King, when is he going to quit his job with SI and go to work fulltime for the pats? Maybe he can take the aging Dr Z with him?
