wasn't sure whether to post this here or in "Gays in Sports", but given the recent Brock Lesnar & Junior Seau threads, here goes. Granted, this is about PR as much as it is about actual "sensitivity", but a step in the right direction anyway...

Not-so-Minor 49ers

Thanks for posting the article, RGMike. I just wish it was mandatory for all people in the sports business to take diversity training. It is a quick and simple way to create understanding and awareness.

It's basically a matter of team owners and managemnt caring enough about diversity. Obviously it is not a priority at this time. Thanks again.

The article mentions that, after the ESPN Mag article, "local activists" put pressure on the 'Niners... but doesn't say who. Anybody have any insight?

I wrote about this and about Esera Tuaolo addressing NFL employees. Some of the 49ers comments are very positive.
