The teams are (most likely) going to be based in ACC, SEC, and Big 10 towns, and there is going to be a graduation proviso for players in the league.

Read about this today Bolt. At first I thought that there is too much football saturation going on what with arena football and arena football 2 leagues and everything else, but given they say this will be in "college towns", it might have a chance. We'll see....

I'm all in favor of more football!
One of the problems I can see wih this model, though, is that there is no "major college program" in or near New York. I'm assuming they'll try to get a television contract so they'd want a "New York" team.

...and it's even more ironic that, I just watched the webcast for the league announcement, and they held it at the New York Athletic Club.

As far as I know 3 places have been confirmed as AAFL cities: Raleigh, West Lafayette, and Knoxville. Birmingham and Gainesville may end up on board as well.
