Full Version: Week 6 Games

Fall is in full swing and it looks like another exciting week of football. Per usual, I'm looking forward to my beloved Easy ED & The Broncos ending their losing streak against the Dolphins and holding Ricky Williams to less than 100 yds rushing for the 1st time this year.

Other points of interest for me in week 6 are:

- Terry Glenn's return to New England to take on his old team. I think Mike Sherman will call his number early and often to show everyone that he wasn't crazy for picking hime up, that is, if Glenn doesn't hurt his finger first.

- Have the Deadskin's finally found their QB of the future in Patrick Ramsey.

- The Raidaz are going to put that final nail into the coffin of the Lambs.

- An apparently meaningless but interesting matchup in the Vikes vs. Detroit. (George, there's room for 1 more on the Broncos bandwagon).

- Will San Diego let the Chiefs get into the thick of things in the AFC West with a loss to Schottenheimer's old team.

- The Bungals usually get it up for the Steelers and I won't be surprised if this is our OT game of the week.

Enjoy the day, guys.

The game hadn't even started and the Lions are already up 14-0! The Vikes can definitely go winless. Moderator, please change my nickname to George_formerVikingFanCurrentlySeekingNewTeam!
Or is that too wordy?

G-Lo, you might not have to bandwagon jump after all. The Vikes won!

The irony in STL whipping up on the last undefeated team.

What the hell is wrong with this stupid league? How can teams look so good and then suddenly go bad, and vice versa? How can Oakland look so lousy against an 0-5 Rams team with someone named Marc Bulger at QB? How can the Giants lose to a Vick-less Atlanta?

I'm still trying to figure out how in week 1 the Eagles lost to Tennessee--who then turned horrible, getting blown out by even the Redskins. Then, after 3 straight wins, the Eagles lost last week to Jacksonville--who seemed to be primed for glory before losing today...to Tennessee!!

Thank god my Bengals have remained so consistent. Nope, never have to worry about them pullin' one out against a 5-0 team, let alone lowly Pittsburgh. But I will never give them up, no matter how many times I rip off my jersey and curse at the television...NEVER! Is a perfect season within reach for the Bengals? Looks like it.

I'm sick!

Stupid Broncos. Arrrgh! How? Fumbling on the one yard line, that's how. Mobley not batting away that ball on the Fins' last drive didn't help much either. It's quickly becoming gut-check time. This team should make the playoffs but they need to start a run. Right now. I don't want to hear about no wild card crap. Come back & win the division, boys.

The Dolphins did not beat the Broncos last night. Denver was its own worst enemy. You cannot give up games like that in a division with SD, OAK, and KC.

If there are records for missed tackles the makeshift Green Bay secondary wins hands down. Brady might as well have been an oil wrestler, the way he kept sliding through their fingers.

And the pack STILL won. Wonders never cease. Patriot recievers are too short to try to catch over a tall defensive backfield. Either Brady couldn't, or wasn't allowed to make adjustments.

Tough loss for the Pats.

sportinlife -- we must have watched a different Pack v. Pat game -- because other that a couple of missed sacked opportunities the GB no-name defense stepped up big time!

They kept Brady scrambling -- good pressure and better downfield coverage -- and he couldn't cope with it this week. I think the Pats made it into the red zone only two or three times in the game.
