Spent the last few years of his life living in a hotel paid for by Vermeil.

Think i will have a beer in his memory this evening.

Don't just drink. Get drunk, then gamble heavily.

And then sue the casino (and lose) for continuing to ply you with \"free\" liquor.

It's sad that Leonard Tose's fiscal issues caused him to sell the Eagles, because he had the philosophy as an owner that we all wish for from our teams' owners: give the team the resources and allow the front office and coaches to do their jobs without interference.

QUOTE
\"An owner can hurt a club by not providing first-class operation for the team and not letting [football people] use their judgment,\" he said. \"I'm not about to give opinions on draft choices when I have no knowledge about them, or on strategy.\"
And besides his gambling and drinking and wild spending (he gave huge tips to waiters, limo/cab drivers, etc.) he gave a great deal to those in need. Among other things, he helped launch the first Ronald McDonald House, where families stay so they can be close to their hospitalized children battling leukemia, in West Philadelphia. There are now 221 Ronald McDonald Houses in 21 countries.

For all his flaws I'll take one Leonard Tose over a thousand Daniel Snyders and Jerry Joneses any day of the week.
