Thanks mostly to the Rams and Steelers (and a somewhat controversial call in the Snow Bowl!), scores were much higher this weekend than last. We had 5, count 'em, 5 perfect scores this week and only a couple of guys score less than 5 points. Here are this week's results:
THE PERFECTIONISTS-10 POINTS

Damn those refs in New England!
Well, it's apparent Seph is in the lead with a perfect score of 20, but how do the rest of us shake out in the post-season-to-date standings, George?

Hey congrats Seph so far!
The Snow Bowl kept me from being perfect. But no whining here.
Are there updated standings?

Hey, Georgev_f, bring on those up-dated stats! I wanna see my name on top for a change! I keep telling my Manfriend that I'm a perfect Top, but he never believes me!! He has soooo much to learn...
P.S. to sportinlife: The name Seph is an acronym; the "p" is for Pats; you figure out the rest...

I'm gettin' a li'l sore on the bottom (pun intended) and it aint a STD.
Seph, I erred on the Egyptian god. It's 'Seth' not 'Seph', but now you've got me curious with this 'Pats' thing. Tell me more.
edit: Ok I checked your profile. I still don't get what 'Habs' are (is).

Habs is the nickname for the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. But I have no idea what a Hab is either!

From the Montreal Canadiens website under "The Habs":
"Legend has it that the "H" on the Canadiens logo stands for "Habs" instead of "Hockey"
as in Club de Hockey Canadien. In 1924, Madison Square Garden owner Tex Rickard was
falsely told by someone that the "H" stood for "habitant", a French word that in those
days was used to denote the farmers of Quebec.
Rickard was told that the French players on the team came from the farms and that they
were therefore "habitants" or "Habs". At the time, the Canadiens were considered
Montreal's "French" team, as opposed to the primairly "English" Montreal Maroons."
I still don't have a clue what a hab is, but apparently neither do they for sure. I'm satisfied. So back to football!
P.S. Some of those Hockey players are rugged-cute, farm-boys (a term I use with endearment being one myself)..wish the suits didn't hide so much.

Here's a shocker for you... I was born in Montreal and was NEVER a Habs fan gowing up, even though everyone else idolized them! (What a strange life for me, growing up a Bruins fan! Blame it on Bobby Orr, even though I was too young too have ever seen him in his prime.)
But, the Habs have always been "les habitants" from what I've heard...
And did you guys realize that it's "CanadiEns" and not "CanadiAns?"
Strange what time away from the homeland does to you... I'm no longer a die-hard Bruin fan... and have now become fond of the Montreal team I used to hate!

George, I'm sending you my picks now. . . I figured the only chance I have to get back near the top in this playoff pick em is to pick big underdogs here against my better judgement. so we'll see what turns up. . . . .bytheway, anybody out there want to coach a pretty good football team in a beautiful sunny city with a awesome stadium but with screwed up owners? Parcells has f**ked us up twice now at the last moment so he can just go kiss Warren Sapp's nasty ass!! have a great day, Mr. Glazer.
