Just some random thoughts on what's happened so far.

Vikes 4-0! They just crushed the Niners 35-7 with Gus Frerotte starting in place of Culpepper. Randy Moss 3 TDs! Vikes have now won 7 straight going back to last season. Niners fans must already be demanding Erickson's head on a platter.

Rams and Cards reverted to the Rams and Cards that we know (and some love).

Pretty ballsy of Dom Capers to go for the win rather than settle for OT at home against the Jags. All the conventional wisdom says if you are at home, you play for OT. I'd be interested to know some statistics on if it really makes a difference. And Jack Del Rio is one hot coach, though he's not likely to keep his job for too long at this rate.

The Steelers got crushed by the Titans after an early lead. Same thing happened against Chiefs. Nobody in that AFC North looks overly impressive though Marvin Lewis gets his first win as Bengals coach.

Pats still almost managed to win despite allt he turnovers. Brady is just destroying my fantasy team!

No they didn't. They never led and after 3-3, the score was never tied.

All I care about thus far is BUNGLES WIN!

Now, if San Diego can win... I'd be really happy biggrin.gif

Browns lose to the Benglals, but, at 1-3, Cleveland is only One game from first place - gotta love Parity !!

Chiefs are a surprise. They have all the options: pass, run and special team; and very few egos. Even Green knows what losing feels like so he seems to be focused. These guys are looking real.

What a spanking the Colts put on the Saints. Does any one think the Colts will have anything left for next week against the stingy Bucs? Defense usually wins so it should be fun.

Had Colts #1 in my voting for Power Poll. Thats sure not changing!

After watching Vikes demolotion of the 49'ers...either a)I've been totally wrong about the Vikes or b)Erickson can't coach in the NFL c) all of the above

We can submit our Power Poll selections now, as the 1-3 Packers and the 1-3 Bears aren't gonna effect those tomorrow!

I vote for "c."

Wow, Frerotte looked impressive and some of those catches Moss made were amazing. We were watching the Steelers lose, and CBS kept on interrupting with their Game Break to show the TDs -- I thought at first they were just repeating the same plays, but they were all new ones ... DAMN VIKINGS! (the Packers really have to win tonight at the new Soldier Field if they have any hope of catching them). At any rate, I said it earlier this year that I think the 49ers are over.

I'm not even gonna look at my pick'em score this week ...

I'll second that, Sportinlife! The Chiefs are my team in the AFC this year. Actually I've liked them for a few years, so this isn't just jumping on the bandwagon on my part.

Here's to hoping the Packers win 21-10, or some other such score that totals 31 or 32 smile.gif

Yes, the Chiefs are for real but so are my Broncos, led by Jake the Long Snake! They meet next Sunday in Arrowhead. I just hate I won't get to see the game. sad.gif

Speaking of the Chiefs, bumper stickers and license plates frame bearing their logo are popping up suddenly. Hmmm...can you say bandwagon jumper?

- Buffalo is suddenly stinking up the joint. I honestly thought they would be a contender.

- Carolina is undefeated.

- Indy shellacked New Orleans last night, who's defense got burned at every turn.

- I never figured out why everyone was so high on the Dennis Erickson led 49ers. Does anyone not remember his Seahawk days? I for one am not surprised by the 49ers implosion.

- Did I say the Broncos rock?!?!?! wink

- The Falcons aren't shyyt without Vick. They're just a bunch of beautiful boys dressing out every Sunday and drawing fat paychecks.

- Why did Emmitt Smith shush the crowd when he scored his lone touchdown for the day that only brought the Cardinals within 10 of the Rams????

- The only reasons worth watching GB vs CHI tonight are a glimpse of the new Soldier Field and checking out 2 of my fantasy players, Donald Driver and Marty Booker.

My partner is the big football fan in the family, but I can tell you that Chiefs fans around here are no bandwagon jumpers or fairweather fans. Theo, are you seeing those licence plate frames and bumper stickers in Dallas? They are - and have been for years - permanent fixtures around here, along with flags, car magnets, clothes, hats, jewelry, bags, newspaper headlines, etc. etc. Chiefs clothing is considered appropriate "business casual" wear in Kansas City. On game days, store clerks wear Chiefs red and every store from the grocers to the department stores play the radio broadcast on their sound system. Whether they're winning or losing, 80,000 fanatics will be in Arrowhead for every home game, in our metro area that is half the size of Dallas/Ft. Worth.

And next week's game - wow, who wouldn't love to be there when the 4-0 Chiefs host the 4-0 Broncos! My hubby sold his season ticket for the game to use his other season ticket at the Kansas Speedway when the Winston Cup is here the same day. Me, I'm going to be out of town next weekend. frown

so much for your happiness .... I'm now beginning the Lee Evans/Rashaun Woods/Roy Williams countdown

Yes Max, I'm seeing them here in Dallas. Maybe they're legit fans who've been living in obscurity here until the Chiefs' most recent supremacy.
